i m in gujarat and it comes in our studies ie whn we fail we get this

if you failed more subjects, you will called failed and you have to remain in that class. In other cases, if you failed less number of subjects, as decided by university, and your total marks is more than certain minimum, you will be promoted to higher class, provided you have to reappear in the failed subject and pass. In second case it is called ATKT ( allowed to keep term).

Allowed To Keep Term is the full form of ATKT

Its because even though you fail you're allowed to keep that keep that term through the next year when you're promoted and have to clear that ATKT exam too.

Sure, as you have alrady got the answer, Allowd to Keep Term i.e even if you have failed in a subject you are allowed to go to the next standard, study further appear for both next exam as well clear the failed one. Yahoo!
