  1. A lot may depend on where the station is. Amtrak station in Birmingham, AL and Annis ton, if you park at the station, you may not have a car when you get back, at least, all of it.

  2. it will probably cost you since most parking lots near

a Amtrak stations are NOT owned by Amtrak but a private contractor

a better idea is to leave your car at home and take a taxi or bus to the station or have a friend drop you off, it will be lot safer that way

  3. I've used long-term parking at three Amtrak stations in NY State.

Each required a five dollar token for any stay longer than 24 hours, but ya couldn't exceed 14 days. A five bucks tab for, say, one week, is a lot better than eight dollars per day at the airport.

  4. It depends on the station.  Ours here in town has free parking, but others charge.  If you're leaving your car for a short time, it would be OK, but for an extended time, I wouldn't do it.

  5. If you are an Amtrak customer ask them, shouldn't be a problem, if you are just parking there because it's free, you might get away with it for a day or two, but I am sure they will catch up to you and ask you to move it or if they can't get to you .   $$$$$ Towing company.
