May-tag fridge and freezer+ ice maker (all in one) stopped working all of the sudden! please help!?

This is the first time this has happened... My fridge/freezer +ice maker stopped working all of the sudden, no cold... lights in it work, and it operating, but no cold. i hear the hum of it working, and it is but no cold is being produced. I have no idea whats wrong! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

make sure the doors close properly and have the rubber suction seals in tact other wise switch it off and defrost it look for any breaks in the pipe grid cercuits reduce the temperature dials to minimum switch it back on after 24 hours and wait another 24 hours befor turning the temperature up by a facter of 2 then waith a few hours. if its not working call the manufacturer or dealer you should have some kind of garantee if you only had it a couple of years

Sounds like the compressor has gone out. You can have it replaced/repaired. However; a new refrigerator costs about the same thing that a new compressor costs. I manage 10 apartments and have had this type of problem occur twice. In both cases we determined that it was moreeconomical to buy a new fridge. Sorry!

did you move it recently possibly fracturing the freon line in the back or is it older? and possibly just needs to cleam dust out of motor in back both are 2 top reasons for it not being cold
