If a price of a stock raises up, will this make the price of another stock goes down?

  1. Lots of stocks have correlations.  Two cruise lines will probably move together to a large extent because they are in the same business.

    One affecting the other usually only happens when an acquisition has been announced and the acquired company is going to be bought for a certain number of the acquirer's stock.


  2. You asked "May to stocks have correlation?"  That does not make any sense.  What are you asking?

    To your 2nd question -  Yes, an example is the financial sector.  All banking/financial stocks, good and bad have been hurt by the mortgage frauds.  Isn't there a saying about throwing out the baby with the bathwater?  Seems to be the case for stocks also.
