What is the drinking age there? and if your underage will they let you drink anyways if you like give them some extra money or something??

drinking age in mexico is 18, in most places as long as you look older than 15 and have money, you can usually drink. but it really depends on the bar/hotel where you go. usually if you show your id from the US, they will serve you. unless its in a hotel in Cancun, its a lot stricter there....

The Maya Riviera is pretty laid back and places where you would drink are either informal or formal. Formal like a hotel lobby or a more structured place. You will be served in any place where you can drink if you look like you can drink. If you look very young, too young then they might hesitate. In all of mexico, money talks. Con dinero baile el perro. With money the dog dances.
