What do you think is going to happen on the day the calander ends. World wide panic? December21

Worldwide panic, people jumping off of buildings and buying lots of canned food at Jewel, preachers in the streets...and then everyone else will go back to work on December 22.  (And return the food to Jewel.)

I think that the winter solstice will happen on that day, and after that day until the summer solstice, in the Northern Hemisphere at least we'll get progressively longer days.

Why should anyone panic about a calendar  that was made centuries ago ending?  That makes no sense at all.  So what if their calendar ends?

I expect nothing out of the ordinary to happen in 2012.  At least, I would think we won't see anything that has not happened before.

But people can sometimes make prophecies come true because they want to.  And there certainly is a lot of prophetic  stuff regarding the year 2012 A.D.

2012 is sometimes claimed to be a great year of spiritual transformation (or apocalypse). Many esoteric sources interpret the completion of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calendar (which occurs on December 21 by the most widely held correlation) to mean there will be a major change in world order.
