Korea’s in-form shuttler Yeon Ju Bae continued her giant killing performance and reached into Women’s Singles semi-final after crushing Japan’s Minatsu Mitani in quarter-final clash at Maybank Malaysia Open 2013 on Friday, January 18, in Kuala Lumpur.
The impressive Yeon Ju, who participated in this championship as an un-seeded player, stole the limelight by playing with staggering precision and managed to claim her place in the top four.
Korean lady was on a completely different level while playing against her seventh seeded Japanese challenger. She played with remarkable precision and overpowered Mitani in straight games by a convincing score of 21-15 and 21-17.
In the meanwhile, the higher ranked Japanese shuttler failed to stretch her winning run in the tournament as she could not put up strong resistance against her un-seeded Korean rival and crashed out without showing her brilliance.
