The Australian version of Big Brother has been axed, seven years after it began on Network Ten.

The show will not return after the current series, which actress Pamela Anderson has appeared in, ends in July. Ten chief executive Grant Blackley said the network was "confident this is the right decision at the right time".

Wish they'd call time on it here. Its had its day. Time for some new ideas on tv now. The very 1st big bro was really good but now its just a load of wannabes trying to get a bit more than their 15 mins of fame.

Its high time this show was scrapped everywhere, it's not shocking anymore and it was never interesting...

Especially this series...I don't like the whole Kyle and Jackie O have to be on everything these days idea...and please? Pammy? 30 years too late! Also, why is she in the Aussie house anyway??? Didn't the USA one want her?

As a Brit living in Australia, I'm relieved I won't have to put up having to hear about this monumental t**d of a programme any longer. I watched half an hour of the first series in the UK and have never seen another second-it is such mind numbing spirit crushing SHITE, like most reality tv. And the worst part is having to listen halfwits wittering on about it the next day as well.

If there is any greater indictment of the low level of intelligence in the UK, it is the popularity of this show & reality tv in general-it's a nation of a fast food scoffing, Sun reading, celeb worshipping, reality tv addicted chavs.

Wow, thank goodness for Australians having sense. As for people going to the moon, that was Germans, as the USA made the V-2 n**i scientists the head of Nasa when they could no longer work in Germany. As for the people actually going into space, well a dog and monkey went first, so go figure.
