  1. 1.  Nash

    2.  They need a bit more 'oomph', but one day!

    3.  The Sharks keep knocking on the door, I thought they might do it this year, so you never know.  Not sure about Bob - miss him.

    4.  Both will be fun to see

    5.  Only time will tell

    6.  I'd give him a go - loads of experience and reputedly good mentoring skills, plus incredible fitness despite grey hairs

    7.  Depends on who does the play by play - I watch a lot of tv games with no sound because the announcers annoy me by chatting about any old thing instead of commentary in the moment, so unless it is my 'home' announcers, I'll be listening to the on ice sounds!

    8.  Fine by me - depending on where the game is held, I'd be pestering all my euro friends to attend the game.

    9.  London's been done, but I'd still hope for the UK - perhaps at the NEC in Birmingham - much more central.  Holland would be nice (and accessible) too.

    10.  I don't mind where I sit, if I can get to a game.

  2. 1) Assuming that's Rich Nash, he will get my vote as he's better known and respected throughout the league, though Toews is fluently bilingual so he's got that going for him.

    2) This year? Sorry freckles but "non".

    3) Loblaw but under another ID so we don't know it's him. Until then I suspect he might be here but "in hiding".

    4) Prague even though my dad went to college in Sweden.

    5) He might, but he needs to earn it.

    6) It would be nice to have him back on the Canadiens but I gotta see how he's playing up at that point, ditto his fitness level because Montreal plays at a high pace.

    7) Without it because that would remind me of listening to games on the radio as a kid. (didn't have cable for many years)

    8) Thrilled because the Habs have a lot of really good European players including Koivu, Kovalev, Plekanec ..

    9) Helsinki or Turku, also Moscow

    10) Behind the bench. I can either cheer on the team I am rooting for or diss the team I am not.

  3. 1. Neither

    2. No

    3. Since Bob Loblaw is a screen name, and his person and profile is nothing but a bunch of 0's and 1's in this crazy internet world...I guess what I'm getting at, is i could care less if Bob Loblaw comes back or not, and the Sharks are a second round team.

    4. Either or.

    5. No

    6. Every teams goal is to win the Cup. Thats like saying "my goal is to finish the 7th grade" maybe I'll get a 80 year old tutor with Alzheimer's to help me achieve that goal.

    7. Without

    8. Sure, since I probably will never make it to the home opener...ever.

    9. Helsinki

    10. In the corner. But I would much rather have seats behind the bench about 15 rows high.

  4. 1. nash. toews too young

    2. probly not. too many major losses (drury, briere, cambell)

    3. come back bob. (dam, soviet, what happened?)

    4. dont even remember whose playin where. been disconnected from hockey 4 too long

    5. idc and i dont think he does much right now either. he probly just hopes to make the playoffs this year

    6. definitely. he's halfway decent and he can teach the young folk

    7. play-by-play. adds some excitement. too boring to just sit there and watch a hockey game with just noises.

    8. sure. cant go to their games anyways, i live in CA

    9. berlin, moscow, helsinki

    10. bench.

soviet- i got time to listen (read) a long (typed) story. im bored out of my mind.

  5. 1. Nash

    2. No

    3. Bob Loblaw

    4. Stockholm

    5. No

    6. No

    7. With Play-by-Play

    8. Yes

    9. France

    10. Behind the Bench

  6. 1.   Nash

    2.   No chance

    4.   Ottawa in Sweden

    5.   No, i think he might be a tad overrated

    6.   Yes, hes old, but hes very good in his own end defensively. (lets be serious, Thrashers won't make the playoffs, not worried bout 2nd round)

    7.   With

    8.   Sure, i dont live in Atlanta, so doesnt bother me, as long as they can win

    9.   Helsinki, Finland and Dublin, Ireland

    10. corner, its annoying to sit behind the bench, the coachs are always in the way.

  7. 1) Nash- Toews isn't even old enough to have an alcoholic beverage legally.

    2) Sabres- No

    3)LOblaw coming back...sorry,lol.

4)The ones where the Rags aren't playing.

    5) Not as long as he's in Buffalo.

6)No, but I will give him 750,000 for one season. At 46, he shouldn't expect a multi-year deal.

7)Fox Sports West did that last season during a Kings- Ducks game. They also had a camera view from glass seat levels.  The game was shown both ways on two different channels. The Kings channel had traditional camera views and the announcers, the Ducks didn't. I actually enjoyed the game without the announcers much more.

    8) No, I think these overseas games are a waste of money, but why in heavens would they send the Islanders anyway?

    9) Iceland

10)Depends how far behind the bench and if the glass seats are the end where my team shoots twice.  I would take the corner seats anyway, I guess.

    10

  8. 1. Nash. More experience.

    2. Not this year.

    3. Sharks winning the cup is very likely. F*ck Loblaw coming back.

    4. Both should be fun.

    5. Perhaps.

    6. Yea. But I'd make him like a 7th defenseman so he could mentor the youngens.

    7. With.

    8. Sure, why not?

    9. Moscow! Actually, let's pretend that Cleveland, Ohio, is in Europe so we can get some motherf*cking NHL back in this town. Or at least bring back the Sharks' farm team back here!

    10. Don't matter, as long as I am at the game.

    Avs Man - Long story.

  11. 1. Nash - He's been around longer, but Towes could be good.

    2. Yes - Biased, but they've turned things around.  They should back their way in as a 6 or better

    3. Sharks win the cup - They'll turn things around

    4.  Stockholm

    5. Yes - Next year (09-10 season) - The defense coming up is young, fast and big.  He'll be much improved once these guys get their legs under them

    6. No.  Too old, won't have an impact.  If anything, league min. over 1 year.

    7. If I'm actually watching, I go with the sounds - Normally I'm doing other things during the course of a game (esp. on drinking weekends), so i'd prefer play by play to let me know when i should definitely pay attention

    8. No - But necessary to increase NHL fan base and generate more revenue.

    9. Maybe Moscow or Helsinke.

    10. Corner - My G-Pa's seasons are in the corner 18 rows up, just over the top of the glass - best seats ever! Never miss a thing

    Vatican city   Devils vs Kings

Corner definitely, that way you see the plays open up.Low is bad

  17. 1. Rick Nash

    2. No, just too much competition for a decent team like them to make it.  They have a chance though.

    3. Didn't realize Loblaw was gone.  He'll probably be back.  Whatever happened to PuckDat though?

    4. Neither.  Prague, I guess.

    5. Probably not, but he might in like 5 years.

    6. If I have a problem with my depth at defence, he could definately be in my 3rd pairing.

    7. With play-by-play.

    8. No.  Too much extra publicity, and of course, jet lag when they come back.

    9. Berlin, Germany.

    10. Behind the bench.

  18. 1. In your opinion, who would make a better NHL Commish?

    Toews or Nash?

Nash Seems morre like a comish type guy.

    2. Buffalo Sabres? Playoffs? Yes or No

No, they simply need better players. I will say 11th next year therfore they won't make the playoffs

    3. Which is more likely to happen?

Sharks win the Stanley Cup next year or

Bob Loblaw to come back as a regular of the Hockey Section

Bob Loblaw, the Sharks arre great and all but with teams like Washington, Detroit, and Montreal trying to get it it will be d**n tough

    4. Which NHL opener are you most excited to watch? The games in Prague or Stockholm?

Stockholm, like the city and the teams better

    5. Will Ryan Miller ever win the Vezina?

Yes but WAY later on in his career, I will remind you his play is based on his team, he is on a team like Montreal, he is Vezina worthy

    6. You are a GM, your team's goals for this year is to reach the 2nd round of the playoffs, Chis Chelios is interested in playing for your team, do you give him a contract worth 1.5 million over 2 years?

Yes, as old as he is, he is a half decent player and fro that money, why not

NO play-by-play, I would like to watch a game like that for fun

Moscow, with so many Russians in the league, why not

    10. Seats behind the bench or glass seats in the corner, which do you choose?

Behind the bench, I want to see my favorite player

  19. 1.) Rick Nash has been in the league longer so he has more experience.

2.) Nope.  They didn't make the playoffs last year when they still had Campbell for half a season.  The Sabres did get Rivet, but he's not enough to make up for the loss of Campbell.

3.) Sharks winning the Cup.  Doesn't look like Bob's coming back :(

4.) The Prague games because I'm hoping the Rangers lose!

5.) Nope.  He wasn't in contention when his team still had Campbell, Afinogenov at his best, Briere, and Drury, and he sure as heck isn't going to be in contention now that his team stinks.

6.) Yep.  That's not a lot of money at all.  Sure he's old, but he's reliable for a couple shifts and to teach the younger kids a little something about defense.

7.) With play-by-play.  Ice sounds are boring without hearing the players and coaches, and it's not even live.  Definitely play by play with Doc Emrick!

8.) No!  Those are two games I don't get to go to/see on TV!

    9.) Helsinki and Moscow.

10.) Glass seats in the corner, because I don't have to look over people's heads.
