Maybe countries that find the net offensive should sever all connections.?

Since some countries are increasingly upset about internet content wouldn't it be a solution if these countries remove themselves from the network permanently?

I would think they would have dire consequences for severing

information ties.  Social, economic and the ability to 'find out

what is happening' would be missed.   Of course, not everyone

uses the internet, but it would be like stopping the newspaper...

A better option may be filters (or censors) instead of complete

disconnection.
