Okay so my two best friends are like vegetarian/vegan and after watching what most animals have to go through, meat has had a whole new turn on me.So I was wondering if I should stop eating meat all at once or take it slow..Like start with not eating a certain meat then stop eating another and another...Just what would be easier?

  1. Go for it! Most people think animals have quick and painless deaths, but they actually go through awful, awful things in the process of getting to our plates. Your friends have probably told you all the terrors of slaughterhouses and the living conditions of these poor animals. Goveg.com is a great site to find out what kinds of things go on. If slaughterhouses had glass walls, nobody with a heart would eat meat. I recently decided to go veggie, about 5 days ago. For about 3 weeks I stopped eating red meat. I only had chicken and turkey. (I would have had fish but I don't like it.) If you like fish I suggest after a few weeks with only white meat only having fish. Then go to full veggie mode! You can get protein form things like nuts, beans, almonds, etc. If you do decide to be a vegetarian do lots of web research, get books, ask your Friends questions, and talk to your doctor. Good luck. GO VEG!

  2. Just stop.

    It will be easier.

    I promise.

  3. I would say just do it all at once and be done with it.  No need to prolong the process.  If you're healthy, there's no reason to take it slow.  In fact, taking it slow might hurt your willpower.

  4. To tell you the truth meat is very good for you and it provides alot of muscle and energy so I wouldnt stop but Id just take it easy.

But in the end its youre decicion

    whatever floats your boat

  5. I think it's different for different people.  Some people do what you're suggesting (cutting out one meat at a time), others eat vegetarian or vegan a few days a week at first, and many people just quit cold turkey.  I would choose cold turkey--especially with vegan and vegetarian friends to help you along (if you're at a loss as to what to eat, you can always invite yourself over for dinner :) ), but that approach is too much for some people.
