Why is it okay to laugh at an ethnic joke?

If made by a person of that ethnicity, but not by a different ethnicity.

Case in point, on the show Last Comic Standing, a white guy did a routine in which he protrayed a Japanese fighter pilot. He was put down by the judges as being un-PC. On the same episode, a Korean girl's routine was pretty much all ethnic, Asian and Mexican, to which the same judge basically said its okay if you make fun of your own people. So, I assume it makes us racists if we laugh at the white guy's jokes, but not if we laugh at the Korean's, even though all the jokes were ethnically based. What do you think?

Say what you mean & mean what you say. And when it's a joke...guess what...it's just a joke. I am sick of politians/actors apologizing for saying something that might be offensive to someone somewhere on this planet.

Someone should put the judge who said anything about PC out of our misery. d**n fool wants to trash the first amendment.

Yep, white people are the only ones that can't say a word about any other race.  But we have to button our lip and take their racism against us.

Darlin when people can't laugh at a joke anymore it's time to hang it up. The biggest problem in America is loss of humor.
