Is our leader the original bleeder

How did the boss wind up on the cross

His final act of martyrdom was to destroy the best part of him

Does the blame lie on him solely

And is this what makes him so holy

Then there is no way to fight this if we are all in his likeness

Why on earth did he seal our fate

Where did we find so much hate

The world beset with evil people some of the worst under the steeple

Are we supposed to smile and swallow

Can our souls really be that shallow

Step back and take a look check the credits of the mighty book

Perhaps the facts are merely opinions

Maybe we’re all just robotic minions

There is one fatal flaw to this plan it was all transposed for us by man

Isn’t it odd that we’re all so willing

When will we stop the senseless killing

It seems as if no one is to blame as long as we do it in his name

Can it be that his words are dead

Do we need the thorns upon our head

Something to help us justify it was for us all that he chose to die

I have never be chained to the convines of religion and I appreciate your take on it. I could relate to many of the last lines written as they sang in my head.
