Maybe switching school trouble?

im switching schools but ive been at a private school almost my whole life where everyone acts like a rich brat and i was there on scholarship so everyone was mean to me cuz i wasnt rich and im really really shy, so whats it like at a public school, how can i fit in? please help

It's probably not as bad at a public school. It's easier to make new friends. I'm not saying everyone's kind - there are a few brats around - but there are problem families with problems like debts. It's most likely no-one would pick on you for your clothes... teachers wander around everywhere and would look after you. When you start new, there's always someone willing to help, and of course, the teacher will keep an eye on you.
