At first I thought this was the US being sore losers too, but it looks like maybe there is something to the allegations of the under-age Chinese gymnasts which is now being picked up by various non-US media outlets:

  1. Of course, you are all ignoring the fact that Yang Yun, a double bronze medalist for China in Sydney, has admitted that she was 14 when she won.

Also, as multiple media outlets have reported, the Chinese registration records for the past 4 years have 3 of the kids with birth dates in 1994.  All of a sudden their 2008 passports show birth dates in 1992.  Who's fooling who?

  2. Old news. Move on.

  3. Well if you idiots haven't heard. There is a significant amount of proof that one of them for sure is 14 and its is officially under investigation. Sorry China your about to loose a gold medal.

  4. asians are naturally petite and age at a slower rate than caucasians, so they might seem younger than their actual age.when they are 16 they only look like they are 10 and when they reach 30 years old, then they might finally look like they are 16.I think some people just want to disqualify some chinese gymnasts so they'll have more chances at winning medals:-P all those thumbs down because the truth hurts lol

  5. They have the passports and the documents to prove that they're 16. So there's really nothing that can be done about it.

But they were awesome in the competition, no matter what their age.

  6. Female gymnasts in general look younger than they actually are. This is especially true for Asians, who can often look years younger than whites. I think it's best to let it go.

  7. Why don't they just let us all us use whatever age of gymnasts we want and end all this, that way everyone can use their 12-15 year old gymnasts and it would be fair.

They need a gold medal for best fake passport and document LOL>

  8. If they are investigated, it would be real simple to see how old they really are. An MRI would measure the growth plates.

  9. The IOC has advised that the gymnasts ages have been verified.  End of story. Cut the c**p and get over it.

  10. LMAO the so called 'hacker' simply used Google cache and Wayback machine...  and he calls himself "Stryde Hax" =D   Those websites could have simply been wrong, if china wanted to fix her age then why wouldn't they have done so much earlier as they had 8 years to prepare, rather than leaving all this evidence for people to find.  Those websites themselves are dodgy, most birthdates are incorrect and sometimes they even write the wrong dates for Olympic athletes.

edit:  It's funny how Diablo always shows up whenever there's a question about gymnastics age.  Wonder if someone has multiple accounts and needs extra voices to back himself up :]
