  1. You should ask the president of the society, not us. He / She knows you haven't done it before, so you won't look silly asking.

Many of us genealogists have a puckinsh sense of humor, besides being warm, witty, well-read and devilishly handsome. If you ask here, someone here might tell you to wear a pink leotard and to be prepared to dance on the table, or to rent a Pilgrim hat.

You might learn when to use "me" and when to use "I", if you have to make a speech. The rule is

    1) Use whichever one you would use if it was you alone,

    2) Put yourself last.

In this case, "I am being", not "Me is being", so

My dad, my brother, and I are being inducted, . . .

You'll probably have to wear whatever ladies your age wear when men wear a suit and tie. I can guarantee you'll have to  listen to some speeches. If your dad did the research, a brief "Thank you; I will try to honor my ancestors with my everyday actions." will be enough of a speech from you.

If you are under the age of 30, the pilgrim hat might be a fun thing to wear.
