Mayhem festival 15 year old is safe?

Question

I'm a 15 year old, not small. 6'1'' 190lbs muscular built..

And I plan on going to Mayhem Festival in Dallas Texas with some friends.. 2 14 year old girls.. and 2 other 15 year old guys.. who arent really the muscular type..

My question is.. would I be safe? I haven't been to a festival before.. I've been to Warped Tour in Dallas..and that's the only other concert.

I'm level headed.. I know that I want to avoid people.. who are drunk.. avoid alcohol drugs smoking etc. etc.

Basically I want to know.. would I be okay going there with friends if we avoid mosh pits.. and ****. or should we get someone older.. or just not go?

We plan on seeing Slipknot/Disturbed/Mastodon/Five Finger Death Punch.. would like to be in pits.. but eh.

I don't know about where you live, but I've never had any problems at concerts but I've always been pretty buzzed when I go.  Party on dude.
