Mays Gold tipped to win Ladbrokes.com Dual Distance Trophy Final
Mays Gold seems to have the edge over his opponents in the Ladbrokes.com Dual Distance Trophy Final at Monmore in England on Thursday, July 5, 2012. A cash prize of £400 has been set for the winner of the Grade OR competition.
The 480 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 21:15 GMT and a total of six fierce competitors have been attracted towards it. However, Mays Gold has the ability to shine under pressure situations, thus the punters will have more faith in his abilities
compared to others.
The C. Price’s trainee has been running in this class consistently and his performances have been pretty decent. This is why the bookmakers have got confidence in him and they believe that it will be difficult for his rivals to match him.
Just like most of the other runners, the black dog started off his career with a few trial runs in order to see whether he was capable of handling pressure at the highest level or not. He impressed his team and was sent into a Grade OR event pretty early
in his career.
Looking at his skills, the bookies had rated Mays Gold as the favourite to win. He entered that event with a starting price of 6 to 4, but suffered an upset at the hands of Farloe Fury in the end.
Although the favourite runner got off to a brisk start back then, he was unable to hold onto his lead. He had to settle for the runner up position by one and a half length in the end. Despite that, his trainer did not give up hope and worked even harder
with him.
The hard work finally resulted in Mays Gold’s victory in a Grade OR event at Monmore. He was not given the best odds this time around, but he was quite strong and took the top spot by a comfortable margin of three lengths.
Since then, the seasoned dog has been doing a great job for his team and is expected to continue with the same momentum. He finished first in his most recent race, which shows the kind of form he is carrying at the moment.
