Mays Harvestmoon tipped to win Betfred Goals Galore Standard Trophy
Mays Harvestmoon has the best chances of winning the Betfred Goals Galore Standard Trophy at Nottingham, England, on Monday, April 2, 2012. The winner of the race will be awarded a prize money of £200.
The Grade OR, 500 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 19:32 GMT and the six entries confirmed for it are:
Mays Harvestmoon,
Romeo Absolute,
Bit View Micko,
Bower Eagle,
Ontheoneroad, and
Romeo Reward.
The bookmakers have sown full faith in Mays Harvestmoon, who has been doing a decent job over the past few months.
He managed to perform well in his last race at Nottingham and has very good chances of doing a good job yet again.
F. Lenton’s trainee had a starting price of 11 to 4 in his last race and he finished fourth in the end. He did not get off to a good start in that event, as he was crowded badly and failed to recover then onwards.
However, looking at his impressive speed and stamina, the punters will be encouraged to place quite a lot of bets on Mays Harvestmoon, the son of Last Bid out of Magpie Tango, born in February 2010.
Another hound, expected to do well in the Betfred Goals Galore Standard Trophy, is Romeo Absolute.
He has been performing well in different grades and has a very good chance of winning today’s event. However, he will have to be at his absolute best in order to finish on top of the table.
In his previous outing at Nottingham, Romeo Absolute finished first after having entered with a starting price of 7 to 4.
He started off well and carried on with the same momentum until the end.
D. Firmager’s trainee, who is a seasoned runner, is the son of Premier County out of Fabulous Life, and was born in June 2009.
Other than the top two, Bit View Micko will also be expected to do well today.
He might find winning to be difficult in this class, but has the experience to challenge the rest of the pack.
The real battle will be amongst the top two favourites, who are in decent shape at the moment.
