Question:

Mazda 3 Touch-Up Chips

I have 3 chips in the driver door of my Mazda 3. I know how to fix my chips and sand them and all that stuff. But only question I have is can I fill my chips in with touch-up spray paint and clear coat? Or after sanding the chips smooth do I have to use a spray gun for paint and clear coat or can I just use the aerosol because it is much cheaper. Thanks

  1. It depends on how picky you are over the touch up work.

You can buy a high quality touch up paint at a lot of auto-body paint suppliers, that can be used with a aerosol can, and mask  the body panel at existing seams to get the most professional looking job. Provided you have a dust free place to do the work.

That  is after you get the chips filled and sanded.

But if you want a good 30 footer (looks ok at 30 foot) then the touch up nail polish sized paints at walmart may do the job for you.
