One of these will be my first car. I pretty much listed the cars in order of preference, though the last is kind of the default option, as in if my parents don't like what they see with the others they are getting me that (hyundai accent). Out of all the ones that I named, which are the pros and cons of each (if you own one of the choices I named then just tell me how you like it) or just what you know of each one...I'd really appreciate your insight.

Yes I know I shouldnt be picky with this because after all it IS my first car, but it's just preference, if my parents got me the accent today I would be okay with it, its something to get me to and fro, but if i could get one of the others that would be even better.

  1. my family has the ford focus, and we love it! its GREAT on gas(we have gotten like 40mpg) and its a zippy little bundle of awesomeness!

  2. do not buy a hyundai or a kia  - piece of c**p cars with no resale value what so ever

id go with the mazda 3 instead of the ford focus

  3. No No No No ----HONDA is the best!!!!!!!!

  4. The Mazda is the best....It's fun to drive, reliable, nice looking.

  5. if i had to choose between the four of them i would go with the focus.  i would never buy a hyundai or kia, mazda is ok.  you should look into a  chevy cobolt

but if you really want a real vehicle then get a chevy silverado

  6. Mazda 3 is sporty and reliable.  It drives like a European car.  The only bad thing is so-so gas mileage.

If you want a softer ride, Elantra would be the pick.  Recently rated one of the top picks by a consumer magazine.

  7. i have this same problem, i am also deciding on my first car. Personally my favorite of all compact cars is the Mitsubishi Lancer, but that is not one of your options. From your options, it would depend on the year of the car. if they are all new models, your best options are the Mazda, Ford, and the Elantra. The Spectra and Accent do not really compete. In magazines they have always placed the Mazda with other similar compacts, and the Mazda always comes on top. I personally like the Focus more, but if its value, and an overall good car go with the Mazda. The Elantra is a good option too. From the Elantra, Focus and Mazda, the Mazda has the best engine follwed by the Ford, then the Elantra. The new Elantra is a good car, but the old models do not cut it. If i can help, there are other options for you if you are interested, the Nissan Sentra, Honda Civic, Mitsu Lancer, Chevy Colbalt, Toyota Corolla, Scion TC, XB, or XD. The new Saturn Astra is also a good option if you want a hatcback and so is the Toyota Matrix. If your first options were your only options, then i would personally go with the Mazda 3, and my second choice without a doubt is the Ford Focus. This two cars are very good options, different yet similar. you can compare them in by going to the links.

  8. Why dont you look at a chevy cobalt or a aveo?? or maybe a dodge caliber.. but maybe if you have to get those id say a mazda and then a ford..
