Which one would you buy (brand new) and why?

If you know maintenance costx for one vs the other that would be great and petrol cost also i.e is it cheaper to run a corolla or mazda 3

  1. Mazda 3 because it's so much better

  2. If I were you I would get a Toyota Corolla. because there motor would handle alot more than mazda. I know cause my family owns both cars and corolla is better. about the other question I don't really know about that...sorry

  3. Go for the Mazda 3 it is better in every way than the Corrolla.

Looks, handling, preformance, style the Mazda 3 wins every time.

  4. Corolla by far as it is not the number 1 selling car in world for nothing. Also if anybody did real research they would know that the mazda 3 which replaced protege is based on and still is the corolla and frame and parts are Toyota.

  5. mazda 3's are sick toyota corolla's suk a$$ there engine is mad weak. i entry mazda 3 is more powerful almost than the most expensive corolla so think about it.

  6. To: Swed *Miami Heat 06' Champs*

the mazda 3 doesn't have more power than the corolla xrs. get your facts straight.

  7. corolla xrs. it has very good gas mileage and it has alot of space. the msrp is cheaper on the corolla. the engine in the corolla is smaller, but would cost less to fix than the mazda 3, but if you get the xrs its much faster than the other type of version.

  8. Toyota corolla because its really great on gas! trust me 35mpg. My friend has one and its great! its like 30 bucks full tank or something like that! nice and smooth on the road to! good luck!

    -Tilly :]

hey, TOYOTA  LOOKS good too!! expecially the corolla sport!

  9. Neither I'd buy a hybrid!

  10. personally i think the mazda has more personality and they're nice to drive.  answers on here seem to be 50/50, i think the best thing to do is go to the dealerships and drive both cars.  you have to make the decision yourself.  there will be info at the dealers on the mpg- but remember its only a guide.

  11. My wife has a Mazda Three and I am 6'1" tall, with my daughter in the seat behind me it is simply to d**n small. Can't comment on the corrolla but I can tell you that test results that I read in my weekend paper reveal that in Australia the Mazda 3 is the third most expensive car to run in terms of petrol, after the ford falcon and holden commodore.

The Mazda does however look better but then that is a matter of opinion

  12. mazda 3 way cooler better gas mileage and more comfy.

  13. mazda3 is more fun to drive

be sure to get the side curtain air bags!

Highs: Nimble handling, engine and transmission, braking, standard ESC, reliability.

    Lows: Road noise, instrument contrast.

The Mazda3 is a very pleasant, practical, fun-to-drive small car. The 2.0-liter engine is relatively quick and sparing with fuel. We got 30 mpg overall with the manual transmission The 2.3-liter is punchy. Handling is precise and responsive, and the ride is firm and comfortable, though road noise is pronounced. Interior quality is very good. The rear-seat room is competitive in this class, but the sedan's trunk is a bit small. The hatchback increases versatility. The sportier Mazdaspeed version has a 263-hp engine. Electronic stability control is included on some trim lines. The sedan received a poor rating in the IIHS side-crash test when tested without the optional curtain air bags.

the corolla gets great mpg but the interior quality is lacking (lots of plastic) and the steering is vague.

  14. Mazda 3 is much better looking and it handles just great!

The COROLLA has great mPG, it's a toyota so you have amazing reliability and it's very cheap to maintain.

However the MAZDA is japanese and as long as you maintain it well, it will last!

I've driven, both, I've ridden in both and I simply prefer the Mazda3.

The Corolla seems to me like a basic vehicle, yet the 3 has a few more luxuries :)

It's more spacious, very comfortable, the ride is very smooth and it will last you.
