New video footage of Mazhar Majeed, the player allegedly involved in the spot fixing scandal of Pakistani cricket players in England, was broadcasted by a Pakistani television channel which showed him claiming that four other Pakistani players are also working
with him. The newly obtained video footage was unseen before and broadcasted by Geo news channel. This footage is also part of the recordings with a hidden camera which was made by a reporter of News of the World. The reporter formed this footage when he met
with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mazhar-c75448 Majeed at various occasions for betting as he pretended to be a member of the betting Syndicate. Names of the three of the Pakistani cricket team Salman Butt, Muhammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were revealed when first footage of the News of the World
was released in August. The repoter fixed Pakistani players with Majeed to bowl deliberate no balls at specific point of time during the fourth test against England at Lords. Three players Butt, Asif and Amir got a provisional supension from all forms of cricket
by ICC and this footage was also shown as an evidence in the suspension hearings which were held in Dubai in October against Butt and Amir.
The recent footage shows a meeting between Majeed and reporter with a hidden camera and is made in Majeed’s house. This footage shows Majeed claiming that four other players, apart from Butt, Amir and Asif, are also working with him. Names of the four other
players accused of working with Majeed are Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz and Imran Farhat. In that footage Majeed also explains reasons of targetting certain players by saying to the undercover reporter that he tries to target younger players as these
players will play for years therefore for him senior players like Younis http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482 and Saeed Ajmal are of no use and he is not interested in these players and he added that Saeed Ajmal is a very religious man. He further said that he
have got best players of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket team and focusing only on younger players is a part of long term thinking.
Umar Akmal and Wahab Riaz, two of the four players recently revealed as a part of spot fixing scam are selected in the Twenty20 and Test squads for next month tour against New Zealand while Wahab Riaz was also investigated by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scotland-c756 Yard during England
tour but was released shortly with no charges against him. Although Kamran Akmal has not been considered for national duty since the England tour but he was recently cleared by ICC from all sorts of the accusations for the time being after he received a notice
by ACSU after the World Twenty20 in May. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 because he was not cleard by PCB’s ‘Integrity Committee’. Imran Farhat was also dropped
from the forthcoming series subject to his poor performance in the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 not because of allegations of spot fixing scandal during England tour in August this year.
ICC has not commented on any of the other four players in media or publicly but the newly released tape has increased its concerns about the remaining four alleged players besides suspension of the trio whose final hearings will be held in Jnuary next month
in Doha, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Qatar-c2986. It is also heard that the same channel has also broadcasted some text messages which Butt, the captain of Pakistan team during England tour, and Majeed, the alleged agent, were exchanging which has led to an agreement between ICC and player’s
lawyers to not to comment on the case and the hearings in public.
