The dashing opener is of the view that many out-of-the-box things happen in Cricket sometimes, but players cannot afford to allow the public to raise fingers.
Talking to the media today, Watson said, “They've been very disappointing and pretty shocking really to see these allegations that have come out from this court case that is going on at the moment. It challenges the integrity of the game we all love so much.
In sport, crazy events sometimes do happen.”
“If your integrity gets questioned, there's no doubt you have to do everything you can to make sure you do clear your name because the majority of people who play sport and play cricket, you're only there to get the best out of yourself and performing as
well as you can every single game,” Watson further added.
The Australian cricketing ranks have been rocked by the stunning revelations in Majeed’s audio tape recordings that were played in a British court two days back as evidence for the ongoing trial of the tainted Pakistani trio.
As per the reports, Majeed termed the Aussies to be the ‘biggest’ fixers in International cricket, pointing out Bracken especially.
Watson, who is currently in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 to play a bilateral series, has dubbed such confessions to be unbelievable as they are not backed with any solid proof.
The 30-year-old all-rounder has played 30 Test, 138 ODI and 24 T20 games so far since his International debut in 2002.
