Maziyyah Nadhir shows exit to Getter Saar in Women’s Singles first round at Korea Grand Prix Gold
Indonesia’s budding shuttler Maziyyah Nadhir showed her impressive craft on court in Women’s Singles first round when she easily send Estonia’s Getter Saar packing at the Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Wednesday, December 5, in Korea.
Indonesian shutter has been playing convincing badminton for the last few tournaments. While playing against Getter, Maziyyah proved that she has got impressive skills in the arena and managed to finish off the first-round fight in just 28 minutes.
Maziyyah was in superb form as she played flawless badminton throughout the battle and remained successful in bagging a comprehensive victory by winding up the contest in straight games with an amazing margin.
The Estonian lady, on the other hand, played competitive badminton in the opening round but she failed to maintain her positive run and lost the fight in two sets without creating a strong impact in the arena.
The incredible speed and powerful shots of Maziyyah helped her to take control of the pace from the initial points of opening game and she remained successful in creating pressure on her Estonian challenger.
Indonesian shuttler was quick in taking the bird from all areas and she did not encounter any problem in hitting her strokes in gaps of her rival’s court.
Maziyyah dictated the pace of rallies without showing any respect to his challenger and managed a wonderful lead until the end of opening half.
After the break, the underdog Getter tried her best to play positive badminton but she failed to match the pace of rallies and remained struggling on court.
Indonesian lady remained consistent in employing powerful shots in the ending points and managed to win the opening set with a 21-16 score on the board.
In the second set, the in-form Maziyyah did not lose her superiority and easily took an early lead without facing any trouble. She stayed in commanding position and took a superb lead until the break.
After the interval, Indonesian shuttler continued her smooth ride without having any trouble and managed to end up the set with a crushing margin of 21-9.
Maziyyah found a perfect start in the tournament as she easily won the first round clash in 28 minutes with a superb 21-16 and 21-9 score on the board.
