Mazzarri keen to sign Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Balotelli and wants Lavezzi stay: Serie A news
Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri, has admitted that he would love to sign Villarreal’s, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 remains at the club.
Lavezzi’s future at the club has been surrounded with a lot of uncertainty for the past few months and several clubs are reportedly interested in signing him. Manchester City were believed to be the front runners for his signature
but their interest has dried up of late.
Napoli had a fantastic 2010/11 campaign and Mazzarri is looking to build on last year’s success by adding some quality players to the squad. The Azzurri will participate in the next season’s UEFA Champions League and Mazzarri believes
that Rossi and Balotelli will be very handy additions to the squad.
The Italian giants have been linked with several strikers including Mimmo Criscito and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Trezeguet-c10623 but Mazzarri is keen to add the Italian duo.
“I want to train 22 top players, so at least two alternatives of the same level in every area of the side. If more talents come along, then I’m happy to deal with that ‘problem. Rossi? I’d love him to come to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, even as early
as tomorrow, as he’d improve the quality of our squad. Rossi could play alongside Lavezzi or alternate their positions very easily.”
“Balotelli has enormous class and we all know he needs to learn how to be part of a group. If we were to sign him, I’d go crazy and work like a madman to get the best out of him.”
The tactician added that he is looking for fresh talent and not legends that is the reason why he decided against the signing of Trezeguet. The former Sampdoria manager also revealed his interest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mirko-Vucinic-c26024 and admitted that
he held talks with the striker but he opted to join Juventus instead.
Mazzarri has already added two major names to the squad in the form of Miguel Angel Britos and Gokhan Inler.
