Question:

McAfee Virus Scan won't detect malware?

Okay, so my laptop is badly infected with malware, which I'm positively sure about. For some reason, there's this McAfee Virus Scan thingy that I don;t even remember having. So I botted the laptop in safe mode, and used it to run a virus scan. It said it didn't detect anything!

Please help.

  1. Restart your PC in safe mode with networking

Download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

  2. It's probably because McAfee is out-of-date. Try updating it or if you can't get Ad-aware 2008:

This is free and very well known for it's anti-malware (but only for spyware only)...

    For virus scan, get Avast:

Good luck and bye bye :)

Oh, by the way, Super antispyware is spyware that pretends to be antispyware...don't install it.

  3. Hello, i had the same problem .  I had like 89 viruses and spyware on my pc and i used nod32 for antivirus and SUPERantispyware for antispyware.

    Those are really helpful

  4. download malware alarm, its not free but it works like a charm
