McAfee anti-virus bugs me. what are my options.?

My anti-virus is REALLY annoying me. It gives me pop ups on my PC telling me my PC is not protected, and I'm out of date, even after i get all the updates and everything. Not to mention it stops me from using lime wire.

If i were to uninstall this, what would my options be as far as a free replacement.

you can choose the speed of the scan, it picks up on tracking cookies, but it has an upgrade almost everyday.

I suggest you that USE BITDEFENDER antivirus. It's more reliable than others and bitdefender 10 is also a free version:
