Question:

McCain's "Good Job" Obama Ad- Classy Move or Obvious Political Ploy?

McCain has mandated that he would not run any negative ads tonight in honor of Obama's nomination. He also is running an add during Obama's speech which says "Job Well Done, Senator" speaking of Obama.

Is this a classy move or an obvious political ploy by the right wing spin-machine?

  1. Both.

  2. Probably a little of both....Obvious ploy sure but you can not deny it's simple brilliance.  He ran it during the convention.  Imagine being an independant and seeing the ad....right before you watch Obama berade and insult McCain.

I...I'm speechless at how perfect it really is......Senile?  I don't think so.

  3. I believe the guy was sincere and it was a classy move on his part but it was also the only classy move any Republican has made for the last eight years. It's a little overdue.

  4. "Job well done, Senator"

Only frightened, paranoid liberals will twist this into a 'ploy'.

  5. Well, that's 1 thing the republicans have done right!

  6. it was both, by showing his class all the while knowing he is going to get bashed proves who is the level head out of the two.

  7. I'd like to be able to read this at face value. However, I'm sure McCain and his staffers are very aware that there are ways to pick up votes beyond direct confrontation. Playing the nice guy is one of them. It should be remembered that the aid was primarily aired in swing states.

  8. It was a sneaky move and very obvious. Just like how he announced that he chose his running mate on the night of Obama's speech, but didn't want to take away his night, and coincidentally announcing tomorrow the day after Obama's speech to try and have people forget about what Obama said on his night. The guy always has played dirty, doing whatever he can to win. It think I respected Obama for not putting out so many of those commercials. Instead he said what was on his mind tonight (which is what you're supposed to do) and I believe he'll come with more at the debate,Personally, I had my behind glued to the couch all week watching this, and when I saw that commercial today, well, I didn't feel it was genuine at all (just my opinion) but that was my impression. I just thought of it as another obvious and sneaky move on McCain that's doing whatever he can with all of these commercials. Personally I never liked those politic commercials, and that's coming from democrat and republican.
