Question:

McCain's "Soap Opera Beauty Queen" a choice or chance?

Some say she was his choice and some say she was little more than a backhand chance to the right wing who threatened revolt if he picked his real choice - Lieberman who the right wingers see as too liberal.

I have a hard time believing McCain's "little trick" on the right wing was totally a knee-jerk reaction though. After the DNC he could have realized he was going to loose the election unless he took a big chance.

  1. Considering her history, she's a fantastic choice.  I hope she becomes VP.

  2. a huge mistake

  3. she is a great choice,McCain Palin 08

  4. h**l no Palin was an excellent choice she is what wall street wants they were crazy for her in N.Y. I live here! I was for Hillary and I'll tell you  most Hillary women are voting McCain's way and are excited by her. They didn't want Obama so why the devil would we vote for him now. Palin is a breathe of fresh air she is not from inside Washington she has been politically involved since 1992 her last position as Governor of Alaska helps her she is familiar with state and gov. legislation she has come to battle with the Russians with fishing territory and drilling off the waters of Alaska! Palin is a fighter and has proof after fight'n the good old boy's, she had more votes in Alaska then Biden had running for president.  She has more decision making than Obama has ever seen as Junior Senator. So what is the matter does the Democratic Party have unresolved mother issues? LOL !!!   Mcain/Palin 08'

  5. McPOW could have chosen a turnip for running mate (probably should have) and the Neocon posters on Y!A would say it was a great pick.

He was going to lose anyway, this just gives everyone some daily entertainment while the deathly dull RNC goes on.

  6. Listened to an interview today by Richard Vigery.  Vigery is a long time Republican strategist and consultant.  Vigery told the interviewer that McCain was dead set to pick Lieberman as his VP.  It was only after 'several prominent Republican leaders' spoke to McCain and warned him that such a move would mean the loss of a great deal of GOP support, that McCain dropped the idea of Lieberman as his VP.  The choice of Palin is a safe pick as far as the GOP is concerned but it is a taking a huge chance that the US public will buy into her PR.

  7. I think he took the right chance. Great Pic.
