  1. Absolutely! Not a Washington insider, a LADY that has done it all from beauty pagents to hockey to hunting moose, meese, whatever... a total winner.

  2. No, I don't think so.  Gotta give him credit for choosing someone younger in an effort to draw in the younger votes, but I think it's too little, too late.  And I see she is under investigation for abuse of power.  Why did McCain choose her?

  3. hmm i dont know about winning ticket. but.. i think it completely destroys mccains attack strategy about how inexperienced obama is. now if he does he looks like an idiot.

  4. What a sham all this is, I could just puke.

  5. It has all the appeal of Obama and Hillary.  Young and a woman.

  6. Absolutely a winning ticket!  Palin besides being a woman has a lot of good credentials.  She has a 95% approval rating as governor of Alaska and she was a two term mayor before that.  She brings a lot of energy and excitement to the ticket.  Brilliant move McCain!!

  7. Not too many.  Its not just about GENDER... Palin doesn't have enough fire power or experience to be VP to a 72 year old.

  8. I think this was an excellent strategic move on McCain's part...Palin is going to attract a majority of Hilary's supporters. Bravo.

  9.   I think this choice by McCain was like hitting a home run when it was needed the most. First you have all the disappointed Hillary ladies who were disgusted when Obama won and more disgusted that he picked Biden as VP. These ladies have stated unequivocally that they will now vote for McCain but I didn't believe them. I think that the rebel democrats swearing allegiance to McCain were just doing that as a last ditch effort to get Hillary nominated in one of the two positions.

But now that Hillary is totally out I think they might consider voting a woman in as McCain's VP.

Second, I believe that a woman on the ticket will bring out more Republican women voters. I honestly think that with the polls running near 45-45 that this will definitely boost ratings for the McCain ticket.

So thus I predict that unless she screws up her debate with Biden this ticket will win. But I sure hope they train her good for the debate because I've seen Biden in action and he would walk across his own mother to make a point or to put down a conservative.

I watched two Supreme Court nominees sit in the electric chair and I watched Sen. Biden trying to throw the switch. He treated them like criminal because they were conservatives. I felt so sorry for Roberts and Gonzales. There was no need to treat them like that. You could even see the disdain on his face as he quizzed them. Nothing cordial here.

So I say to VP pick Sarah...Keep two eyes in the back of your head too. These are mean, power hungry, uncouth, unfair political dogs who will run you into the ground and even try to ruin your life just to win this election.

  10. Smells like a winner!

  11. umm

after Hillary C's speech, not many.

This looks like a slightly oppotunisitic "parachute" by the GOP. It will sway some, but not most

  12. I am a woman in my 50's who is a registered Democrat. I was a Hillary supporter. I dislike Obama. I would have voted for Obama if he would have picked Hillary as a running mate. I am now firmly supporting McCain. Sarah Palin is a great woman who has been followed for some time in women's magazines. It is a shame that Hillary lost in the primaries and then got dismissed by Obama. I LOVE MCCAIN'S VP PICK.

  13. He picked someone with less experience than Obama and is under investigation. What a pick!

  14. Probably more than we think.  Women like to see other women win.

  15. Very simple - NO. Nothing can help decaying McCain
