McCain-Palin = Mondale-Ferraro?

I think I've seen this one before, I think I know how it's going to end. Anyone else feel that way?

Yeah, I was thinking that. I don't get McCain. He's campaigning like he's way behind even though the polls show it to be close. Picking Palin was a Hail Mary pass, a sign of desperation, not of boldness.

I wasn't too much interested in politics when Ferraro ran, I was too busy being born.

But I do believe that Ferraro and Stalin -Whoops, I mean Palin, are fairly similar.

Yes. I am seeing a similar pattern with McCain.

Not really the same, Walter "Fritz" Mondale never did connect well with the American public and the only interesting thing about his candidacy was that he picked Ferraro.

I'm not sure it will be that much of an electoral landslide, but Obama will pass 300 electoral votes, and McCain wont pass 200

the a choice was made ... to be politically correct and make him look good.  Like a trophy wife.

They wanted to pick up the Hillary voters.  They just don't get it .... She isn't Hillary.  and that isn't going to get them.

Elections have shown people vote based on the President not the Vice-President.  The Palin pick is an insult to intelligence on so many levels but the people who care about intelligence and actually governing skill were going to already vote for Obama anyway. McCain figures to try and get the low information voter with this pick and get the help of the evangelical base and get some media buzz.  We will see if the media does their job and calls McCain out for picking someone purely to get elected and not someone who is in anyway prepared to be President.  After people elected Bush twice I will not say that it won't work.
