McCain-Palin are going to the Mississippi Gulf Coast today,Where is Obama, and why don't he go?

McCain-Palin are making a trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast today to check on emergency preparations and finding ways they can help to prepare for Hurricane Gustav.

Where is Obama-Biden? don't they care about the people in that area?

They are not going to.  They are already there.

He and Biden were attending the funeral of congress woman Stephanie Tubbs Jones.   While it would have been a great photo op to go to the gulf coast, what could they have done?  New Orleans is trying to evacuate, putting some one like Obama in their would create unnecessary work.

They (Obama and Biden) will probably will just throw money around to the wrong people and pretend they will know what they are doing.  That will fool the people into thinking they care.

Obama and Biden realize it's not about lives, it's about votes.  Watch them run for the Coast if they eventually get into their thick skulls that Americans are watching.  Obama didn't even make it to his own convention till nice and late.

So what are McCain and Palin going to do besides get in the way, interfere with preparations and divert resources.

Maybe they intend to do a bit of praying?

Maybe shout at the sky until the Sun comes back?

Maybe blame the Hurricane on Clinton?

This is only to cover the fact he had a birthday party with Bush the last time Mew Orleans flooded.

As a Mississippian, I'm glad they are coming but don't know what they'll be able to do. Our Republican Governor, Haley Barbour, invited them. I suppose Obama would have done the same if he'd been invited....though traditionally, our large Dem. voting block of close to 40% African Americans has been taken for granted by Democrats.

Not saying all vote Dem. but majority do.

actually McCain-Palin are likely getting in the way of emergency preparations in order to get a photo op.  Obama is wisely considering the need of those same emergency personnel to focus on why they are there now.
