McCain chose a female vice president (who he barely knows) so he can steal Obama's woman votes...does this seem like a choice a man who cares about America and wants the best for America would choose?

No

what do you think?

  1. No only that--  he chose a woman who on Kudlow and Cramer said that she would like someone to explain to her what it is the vp does.

    Here's the clip:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtilB1tek...

Here's the full quote: In an interview just a month ago, she dissed the job, saying it didn't seem "productive."

In fact, she said she didn't know what the vice president does.

Larry Kudlow of CNBC's "Kudlow & Co." asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain's ticket mate.

Palin replied: "As for that VP talk all the time, I'll tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? I'm used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we're trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question."

  2. I don't even think thats the reason mccain picked her. Shes not only against abortion, shes against EVERYTHING hillary stood for in the primaries, and on top of that she called Hillary a whiner.

The very very very retarded ones who only care about having a woman in the office, maybe. but the rest of the hillary supporters, as crazy as they are sometimes, won't fall for a phoney like this.

This was to rally the ever-decreasing republican base. It was a desperation act, nothing more.

  3. No, it's just pandering of the worst kind. Does McCain really think he will live out his first term? At his age? Leading this broken economy?

If Palin gets the office, it's goodbye abortion rights. What irony - a woman sticking it to the other women after all this time blaming 'the man'.

With abortions rights gone, the number of down's syndrome babies and babies born by incest and rape will skyrocket. Paediatric health care costs will rise due to the a majority of these Downs kids requiring heart surgery for valvular defects.

The number of botched backroom abortions will surge, as will the number of teenagers dying from infection due to the procedures. The number of ectopic pregnancies as a result of unsafe abortions will kill adult women and reduce overall female fertility rates in America.

    Welcome to America under McCain/Palin...

  4. it looks morer like a hail mary pass to me, or should I say hail sarah.

  5. act of desperation, lack of judgment, this man is dangerous

  6. Yaaaaawwwn!!!

  7. It's an insult.

  8. I think that throwing out baseless accusations and ascribing motives for which you have no proof is a sign that my party has gone off the deep end of political bigotry for the purposes of achieving their goals.

The lack of ethics and abandonment of the principle of "innocent until proved guilty" is a contemptible outgrowth of their pursuit of socialist policies, where the "ends justify the means".

I've had enough.  I hope the rest of you have as well.

    Democrats for McCain/Palin.

Keep speaking up, everyone.  I helped FIGHT for that.  I'm not letting it go without a fight, even it if has to be against my own party.

They have the right to speak up.  That doesn't mean that what SOME of them are saying (and some on the Republican side, so don't kid yourselves) isn't worthy of your contempt.

Don't join them.  Patriots vs. political bigotry.  Don't hate half the country.  Hate the behavior.

  9. Women have come a long way! We will not be knocked back down! This is embarrassing to me that other countries are seeing just how backwards we still are. They see that some people don't think a black man cannot be President and they are seeing that some think a woman can't be either. Sigh!

  10. Genius move.  He one upped Obama.  The fact that it is still being talked about 48 hours later proves it.   ***

  11. This is a genius move by McCain and will turn the tide of the upcoming election.

  12. I don't mean to disrespect older people I have at least a couple of them at home and I  admire them for their wisdom but I MUST SAY THAT MCCAIN 72, SERIOUSLY NEEDS SCREENING FOR ALL THOSE OLD AGE DISEASES THAT CLOUD THE MIND because no body who is in her/his right mind would ever even fantasize of putting this great country in the hands of such an inexperience woman in the event of his death while in office.

I'm a republican but I love my country more than my party so I'm switching side. Sorry folks!!!.  Palin is an airy woman compared to Hillary Clinton. Hillary's supporters would love to vote for a woman but  not an airy one.

Mr Mccain your act of desperation just turns me off and compels me to switch side, get yourself tested and please don't insult the ladies by choosing airy Palin. She may do well as a Governor but she needs more time to ripe for such important jobs as P/VP

  13. Great choice.  Just love all the whine from the left.  Maybe McCain should have picked Kennedy, or yea, he's dying. Okay, maybe McCain should have picked Dimo Byrd to make the left happy.  This is great, she will make the the number three liberal in the Senate, old time politician, consummate insider Biden look like a fool in the debates.  McCain picks an outsider, a woman, and another party maverick; now that is change.  But Mr. Change Politics man Nobama picks a loser who has been in Washington since 1973 and accomplished nothing but accumulated personal wealth.  Some change, eh?

  14. I think it is says many things about McCain... it says he is desperate, it says that he thinks American supporters of Hillary are naive or just stupid, and I think it says he is very impulsive.  All traits that I don't want to see in a president.

The best thing that can be said about this selection (for McCain) is that it excites the evangelical arm of the GOP, a group that was necessary for Bush in his 2004 re-election.  I don't think it will be enough this time though.

  15. Typical Chicago political tactic.

Governor Palin is an honest American.

  16. He didn't choose her because she was a woman.  Look at her a little closer.  She has every single quality the Obama is trying to say he has, with more experience.

She is a great choice.  She has voted outside party lines and followed her morals and beliefs instead of choosing the political route.  I don't always agree with her on everything, but I have to give her credit for sticking to her beliefs, and her voting record reflects that.  Isn't that what America needs?

If you want to criticize VP choices, look at who Obama chose.  He picked someone who is exactly what he is saying we don't need.  A Washington insider, career politician type.  A little hypocritical, don't you think?
