Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan and former John McCain adviser, Time columnist, and MSNBC contributor Mike Murphy were caught on tape disparaging John McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential running mate.

"It's over," Noonan said.

When Chuck Todd asked her if this was the most qualified woman the Republicans could nominate, Noonan responded, "The most qualified? No. I think they went for this political bullshit about narratives. Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and that's not what they're good at, they blow it."

Murphy characterized the choices as "cynical" and "gimmicky."

  1. Shows you what type of person Noonan is.   Her latest article is a write up like Palin is the Messiah.

Every Republican groaned with this choice.   Look how bad a decision it was:

It showed McCain's hand....it showed that he knew he was losing and needed to gamble.   But look at that....he gambled on who could be running our country.

He discredited himself and lost any argument of experience being a factor.

He clearly did not vette her and opened 100's of different lines of attack on his campaign.
