McCain answer on health care...?

Q: What would you do to curb the high cost of medical health care & to help those who don't have health insurance?

A: The real question is: How are we going to keep health care costs down, because we have the highest quality of health care in the world in America today? And unlike the Democrats, I'm going to preserve that quality of health care, and at the same time stop the inflation & the skyrocketing costs of health care. And there's a couple of principles:

* To make the RECIPIENT of the health insurance much more responsible in health-care costs by eliminating the existing tax break for employers who provide their workers with health insurance

* To address wellness & fitness.

* To give every American family a $5,000 refundable tax credit so they can go anyplace in America to acquire the health insurance policy that best suits their needs.

* And, if they've got money left over, then invest it in a health savings account.

Do the math, do you really think you come out ahead?

  1. His answer is: I've got mine, you go get yours. McCain has had government health care ALL his long life.

A $5,000 tax credit doesn't help at all if you are a low wage worker that pays no taxes. It only helps the wealthy who need no help!

  2. John McCain's Plan will not work because it will force employers to pay more in taxes or drop health insurance on their employees. Most likely, the employers will drop the insurance. The replacement will be not profitable for insurance companies because of the problem of adverse selection. Instead of buying health insurance, healthy people will forgo health insurance. As the more healthy members of group insurance exit the insurance market, the cost to maintain the health of the existing members will rise greater than what a healthy member would pay and greater than what others who need it can pay. In no time, premiums would exceed the tax credit. It will be too high except for only the sick but weathy to pay.

It is not the math that stinks. Its the economics.

Of other issue with the McCain Plan, see the link below.

  3. I don't buy it. I'm not taking my hard earned money and giving it to those who don't work...don't want to work...don't take responsibility for their own health and those who will profit from it AKA insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. I'm all for a cash based system.

  4. Dose this mean we should also privatize SSI and medicade and medicare

  5. No.

Heck, If McCain had to buy insurance under his plan he wouldn't find a company that would take a cancer survivor like him on.

  6. as opposed to me paying for you lazy jobless ***, yeah i come out way ahead

  7. I can't believe we've come to a place where we look to GOVERNMENT for HEALTH CARE!!! Ummm, Walter Reid mean anything to anybody?

I want McCain, Barack, Hillary, EVERYONE to stay the h**l away from health care and focus on what our government is FOR-national security, infastructure, secure our borders, etc... stay out of the private sector.
