After he lost in 2000, and thinking that was his last chance, McCain confessed his motives. Why should we think his motives are any different this time around?

  1. What Motives? Having a real plan for America, not rosy lies like Obama?

  2. They aren't different and, whereas i had much respect for him before, he has become a fear monger and has shown more than his slip.

    He's not our guy.

  3. McCain is a clone made from d**k CHENEY'S s*****m CELLS.

  4. We shouldn't. He has repeatedly stated that he wants to be president b/c of his ambition, and specifically NOT to do anything that would help out people or for the love of his country. That was before this campaign. He also told one reporter that he would love to win the spot as president b/c it was the highest notch you could go in this country, and he wanted to beat out his dad and grandfather in achievements.

  5. No, that's Obama. McCain pushed Bush for the surge even though it was so unpopular. He knew the surge was right and said "I'd rather lose an election than lose a war."

  6. I don't believe his motives have changed.  The older people get, the more set in their ways they get.  As old as McCain is, he must be more set than 90% of us.   It wasn't that long ago that he wrote that book.  Give me a break.  The fact that he only wants the presidency for four years proves that as well.  Maybe he thinks that will score him points with St. Pete.
