Eighteen of those with a Republican president in office. Why all the sudden should we believe he will change anything. Shouldn't he have done that about 20 years ago?

  1. The control of Congress is more vital to making changes in laws than the control of the Presidency.  McCain has done more to change things than Obama has or ever will do.

  2. People in glass houses...Biden ur VP and possible president if barak gets knocked off or is impeached has been in DC 36 years...So shut up!

  3. well the difference between what everyone said is that Biden is vice pres while McCain is president.  It wil be Obama that brings the change and Biden to keep him in line on other things but Obama and every other legislative powers.  Takes more than one person though.

  4. You forget, he was a senator. Even the president can't do anything unless congress and the senate go along with him. The idea is to get bills and laws passed that is acceptable by all branches. He has some executive duties that are his alone, but most things are done by appealing to the other branches,so he could only press for and vote on one issue at a time with all the others. You should know that He often breaks with his own party over issues, that is why he is the "Maverick"and is not loved by all in his party. The republicans in office were subjected to the same set of laws. a democratically controlled congress and senate that either refused to go along, or altered his bills so much that they could not be passed.

  5. He's worked for change every day of his 26 year career. He was only 1% of the senate for those 26 years.

  6. Well if you notice, it takes 12 yrs to clean up the mess left by those Democrapic Presidents.  Jimmy Carter, ugh, do i need to say more.  Oh wait, How about BJ Clinton?  Bill Jefferson that is.  Record surplus that crippled the economy when he left because he knew there would be a Rep. President to replace him.

  7. kind of like Biden since  being a career politician since 1973

  8. Biden has been there longer

  9. Because Reagan has this country liking him, no need to change the country there.  Only time people didnt like the republicans is when Bush finally stood up to the terrorist.

  10. Biden has been in Washington a decade longer

    What change will he bring?!

  11. Joe Biden has been there longer.

    Your point?

  12. totally.

  13. Biden has been there for 32 years.

  14. Actually, he used to be "different" a long time ago.  He was a great Senator earlier on, which gave him the title of Maverick.  But now for political gain, something happened to him in 2000 that made him change to become a Bush clone.  So you can throw the title of Maverick out the window now.  Voting with Bush on 90% of the issues equates to no change.  By the way, gotta love the neo-con answers above -- they say Biden has been there longer, but I don't see anything about Biden in your question, only McCain.  What a bunch of ditto-heads.  Last time I checked only McCain and Obama were running for President, not Biden.

  15. It is incredible that someone could change immediately after 26 years? Truth is stranger than fiction.

The Republican Party leadership will promote anything and anybody to retain control of the White House.

  16. So, you're suggesting that a single senator has the power to change 'anything'?  Take a look at the percentage of dems vs. republican representatives &  senators during that same 20 yrs, and you'll see how much sense your argument makes.

  17. The same reason people believe that Biden, who has more years in Washington, represents change for Obama's team.

With either of these hacks we ain't gonna see no positive change.  Three of the four candidates are Senators. What, they have been waiting for just the right opportunity to make a difference? What a crock!

  18. oh, but if Obama has been there for even less time we should not doubt him huh?

I personally think McCain will bring about change for the American people we can be proud of.

i get it that your an Obama fan. and refusde to believe that anything good can come out of a McCain presidency, but so what. I feel the same way about Obama.

you want to arm wrestle me to settle the who's right and who's wrong for America instead?

  19. Biden has been in office 35 years and Obama votes along party lines 97% of the time. Is that change?
