McCain just majorly flip-flopped on his choice for VP! What do you think of this?

You know how he's been ACCUSING Obama of having no EXPERIENCE as a Presidential candidate?

So what was Johnny Reb *thinking* when he chose a VP candidate whom has less experience than Obama?

Palin has no experience WHATSOEVER in any of the critical areas that are needed to be a solid pick as vice-president like Biden!

If McCain was hoping to win the election--he just blew it with his VP pick. Outside of her stance of being anti-abortion, what will Palin bring to McCain's camp that will get him and her both elected?

Surely, he doesn't think that by signing her on, he's won the women's vote hands down because he has a younger female VP--does he?

It just blows my mind. This choice of his makes absolutely no sense.

I have nothing against women being President, but why Palin...???

  1. Because she will be a big magnet for many Clinton supporters, especially women, who are dismayed that Clinton lost. A purely cynical and manipulative political ploy, and frankly I suspect a quite clever and effective one. However did you get the idea that this was about getting qualified people into the job? :)  This is about getting control of the greatest pork feeding trough in history, nothing more. (True, the trough is almost empty, but few seem to have noticed.)

  2. No experience? Your the hypocrite.

Former Mayor; Former Chairman, Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and is the governor of Alaska. She knows how to be a leader.

  3. She helps the McCain ticket look a bit more anti-establishment, and she will bring in a lot more of the disenfranchised Hillary voters than, say, Mitt Romney would have. Also she's extremely popular (90% approval rating) and her bubbly personality and pretty young face are a nice contrast to McCain's crotchety old man vibe. Also it never hurts to have the most photogenic person in the election in your corner.

You're right though, it definitely does undermine his arguments about Obama's lack of experience.

  4. That's your opinion.

Consider, after campaigning for months on "Change," how in h**l does choosing a 30 plus year Washington insider support Obama's platform?

  5. Answerer The Wise One gave you her credentials.

Fox news strangely enough reported speculation that McCain really wanted Joe Leiberman and at the last minute was told NO.

    Pick Palin

  6. No - it just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick! Palin is a Great choice and she will make a Wonderful VP!

    Palin:

    * has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska)

    * ran on the agenda of stopping wasteful gov't spending

    * is about as far outside the Beltway as you can get

    * is a vocal, huge proponent of American energy independence

    * has actually been leading people for the past several years, while Obama & Biden have been leading NO one!

    * is the mother of 5 kids!

    Also among other things she:

    * has had her son deploy to Iraq

    * is an ice fisherman

    * is a moose hunter

    * is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member

    * shelved her state's pork-laden Bridge to Nowhere that McCain has ridiculed on the trail

    * will join McCain in fighting hard against earmarks

All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Motherhood & Apple pie!

    Peace

  7. Proves McCain is a Maverick and not an insider like Obama and Biden

  8. Less experience than Obama? She has been a governor longer than Obama has been a senator.

Plus Obama is a senator...meaning his job is legislation, not governing like Palin

There's a reason why a senator hasn't been elected in a long time

  9. People need to put a little bit more thought into this issue instead of suddenly jumping to the conclusion that McCain was trying to gain the support of women voters?  Hillary supporters will not just support any woman, unless they're seriously deluded!  Why can't it be that McCain was trying to gain the support of the far right-winged conservatives (because that makes so much more sense)!  I think she was an excellent choice, especially for that purpose!  Only if these women are incredibly uneducated and somewhat shallow will they suddenly go from supporting Hillary Clinton to supporting a woman that opposes her policies and beliefs in every way possible!

  10. he just gave up the vote to obama. thanks mccain! obama 08!!!!!!

  11. She does have more experience than Obama at being the head of a Government.

That's what Obama has always lacked. never being in charge of anything, not even a government committee.

Besdies evertime Democrats bash Palin for not being experienced or ready it just reminds votyers of Obama

  12. You guys have such a weak argument here it's not even funny.  Face it.  McCains VEEP pick for crying out loud has more experience than your Presidential candidate.  Just face the fact that your guy is in absolutely no position to attack anybody in terms of experience.  The fact that he's even trying and that you sheep are following right along is just laughable.   McCain, McCain's VP pick, and Obama's VP pick are all more qualified to be President than Obama is.    It's sad.

  13. It goes to how he is one of the biggest hypocrites in America!

  14. He feels the women of America are so gullible and foolish in that all it takes for him to become president is to put a woman on the ticket. So, women of America, ask yourselves -- Are we that gullible?

  15. Do you know that the Governor of Alaska routinely deals with Russia and Canada over trade, oil, fishing rights, and transportation?  She brings more dealings with foreign representatives than does Senator Obama!

Also, look how close Alaska is to Russia...she's going to protect her state!

Senator McCain made a very intelligent decision, but I expected nothing less from him.

  16. She's VP she'll get experience besides she has executive exp. where Obama & Biden are just legeslators and Obama running for Pres. he's the one with no experience!

  17. When I found out today, I thought "Uuughhhh, you just ruined it."

McCain played the "JOKER" and will be taken by Double Ace's.....

  18. a popular, smart, conservative woman is a good choice for McCain.  Get over it and stop whining
