I heard on the news this morning that McCain really wanted Lieberman on his tickets, but the fat cat Republicans threw a fit!

So he ran out and met Sarah "1" time and gave the ticket to her.

So Right wingers, do you still think he thought "she" was seriously the best person for the job??

Personally I think Joe Lieberman would of sank his ship even faster than Sarah's doing-see the morning polls????

  1. Part of me feels like McCain isn't really even trying anymore. Like he wanted to be president, then realized he didn't have the energy, and now is just going through the motions, pretending to care, but really just trying to sink his own campaign.

I can't think of a better explanation for Sarah Palin, minus him just being a complete idiot.

    Well...now I'm torn.

  2. That's true.

And if he were such a "maverick," he would have chosen who he wanted to choose.

But to get back at the Republicans for denying him who he wanted, he bypassed all their choices and decided to go with who he wanted.

A woman who has has only known for 6 months, who he has only met 3 times and spoken to twice.

Now how's that for sound judgment?

And although the Republicans are acting like they're okay with his choice, I'm not buying that for one minute.

  3. McCAIN would never admit it.

HE CAVED IN TO RUSH LIMBAUGH!

  4. I seriously think Palin is a better pick. She has mobilized the conservatives and grass roots in ways you are refusing to see. I respect Lieberman, hes about the only Liberal in the senate i do respect. Hes consistent and hes honest, something I cant say about the rest of em. I would not have liked to see him onthe republican ticket though. I disagree with him on WAY to many issues.

  5. yes, heard that this morning.

I wonder if McCain's on the phone screaming at Cheney "YOU MADE ME PICK HER"

  6. No one "settles" for Sarah. She is the best thing that has happened to this election yet!!! She's awesome, Lieberman ain't.

  7. John McCain calls himself a maverick standing up to his party.  He is one running for president and to have his own running mate.

Shades of Karl Rove, the far right of the Republican Party and Religious Right were going to be ones who pick his VP, Plain and simple.

  8. The only thing a little suspect about Lieberman is he ran as Al Gore's running mate in the 2000 election as a democrat. Now he is a republican. That is just a little strange to see someone switch parties like that.

  9. So you Have link to this source of yours?

Do you have a link to the poll?

  10. McCain says otherwise and I would believe him over the MSM any day (especially without sources.) McCain has been talking with Palin since February.

Obama couldn't stand the thought of a woman on his ticket and wanted Edwards but settled for Biden after the fat cat Dems threw a fit. They say Biden wasn't the best choice but that's all they had.

Now the Dems are acting like their OK with the agent of change picking a typical Washington insider. No one buys it for a minute. That's what I heard.

  11. Yes, that's what's being reported.  It makes more sense, doesn't it?

  12. Yes, sad isn't it. She was a split second decision with no vetting and no knowledge of anything other than 'she's a woman' and 'she will be liked by the religious right'....

  13. I was thinking this exactly.  They were concerned about their "base" (people that make $500,000 and above I think).

But never underestimate the American voters (or the Republican smear machine) ... the race will still be close.
