McCain says he knew…?

about Palin’s daughter before he picked her. Is this the reason he picked her? Is this a Republican ploy to get Democrats to act up?

I have a hard time believing that McCain would choose a running mate with somewhat of a PR problem.  Not that her daughter being pregnant should matter - but he had to know that the media would latch on and blow this issue up like crazy!

I don't think he knew because when campaign spokesmen were first interviewed they said that not much vetting had been done, and they refused to give a specific answer to the question of when McCain learned of the pregnancy.

mcCain did know and like Obama said it does not matter it is not a matter of national security

He did. And yes, that certainly looks like calculated schema a la Karl Rove. As we know , he is acting on true statement that republicans can NOT ever win on issues.
