McCain supporters, would you still vote McCain if Hillary Clinton was promised a Cabinet position?

This is obviously more unrealistic now that Sarah Palin has been nominated for the Vice Presidency. But if McCain wins, and he genuinely wants to form the best cabinet possible, than Hillary Clinton should seriously be considered for Secretary of State.

If Obama is elected, I would hope that he would also seriously consider her. There are very few, if any, politicians that have as close a relationship with world leaders as Hillary Clinton.

As for the matter as to whether or not Hillary Clinton would accept a Cabinet position, it's clear that this would be an enormous benefit to her. She is a close friend of McCain and is currently sending subtle signals to her supporters to vote for her friend from Arizona. And this would only help her chances when 2012 comes around.

  1. if i was a man of few words i'd merely reply a resounding yes! although  i have a certain amount of respect for ms. clinton i wouldn't vote for her as president for reasons that i think are valid however too numerous to list here and my respect for sen. mccain transcends gender and race not to mention political lines although being a white male republican i guess it doesn't have to but i actually wanted mccain to beat out g.w. bush 4 years ago and he still has my support to this day

  2. With the alternative being Obama as President, of course I would vote for McCain if he gave sHrillery a cabinet post.  The only way that would happen is if there was some dirt on McCain, from those 900 FBI files she stole, while her "husband in name only" slithered in the WH.

With sHrillery its always, all about her; she hasn't stayed in a phony marriage for 25 years to support the unity of the democratic party.

McCain would be playing political suicide by throwing a bone to that female dog. Just because he doesn't personally despise her, 90% of the republican party does & he knows that...

  3. Hillary will blow druggie Palin away.  That's all that matters.

Then Hillary and voting citizens will help Obama save the nation from Republican demise.

After that...we prosecute Bush and Cheney

  4. Yes.  I'm a hillary supporter voting for McCain NOT because of Sarah Palin.   I couldn't care less to tell you the truth.  I did also notice that barely 3 days after her big speech at the DNC, Hillary is suddenly subtely approving of Palin as VP.  She says that the women of this country will be galvanized.  It doesn't matter.  I can't stand Obama's extreme liberalism because I'm a moderate, so is Hillary and McCain.  Hillary was my first choice, but since it isn't her, McCain for me.  Again, I don't care a penny for Palin.

  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  6. Maybe the secretary of bitching and moaning

  7. NO...never...........even if Obama to be his VP

  8. Sure, why not.  Hillary we know is a very smart woman.  You would expect the best choice out of either party.

  9. I am not sure about McCain, but Hillary would be a great asset to him in a Cabinet position.  Brilliantly setting herself for another power position in 2012.  Possibly a very strategic move for Mrs. Clinton...and a big question for McCain.

Overheard some office conversation about Obama being a "flash in the pan" if he were to be elected...what are your thoughts?

    Undecided.  Pray for our nation.

    God bless you.

  10. Hillary wouldn't take a cabinet position in a Republican run White House. Do people forget that she is a life long Democrat and that the Republicans put her and Bill through h**l during the impeachment years? Hillary and McCain are friends in the Washington definition of the word i.e. they are friendly when they see each other in the hallways but they aren't social friends.  Under a Democratic win of the White House, I have no doubt Hillary will get a cabinet position.

  11. You never want to promise Cabinet posts now. Dewey tried that in 1948, and we're still waiting for them to take office.

  12. GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  13. I will vote against BO regardless of who is in McCains camp. I vote for who I believe is the best for America, not for who I believe is best for the US of Klu Klux Klan of America like BO and his Uncle Reverend Wright.

  14. I wouldn't see any issue with going across party lines for a cabinet. And Hillary has proved one thing over the last few years she is very capable. So I would absolutely still vote for McCain.

  15. Nooooooooo. It is bad enough that HE is our only choice.

  16. I don't see that happening.  Hillary has made her nest in the dem party so deeply that reaching across party lines is difficult for her.  BUT, McCain is a maverick and I wouldn't put it past him.

As far as helping her in 2012, I think now that Palin is on board, Hillary's chances of making it to the White House are slim.

ToYou2 - "druggie" Palin?  Can you ellaborate on that because it only makes since to you.  Just another desperate dem...no sound reasoning to rely on, just pure hateful party rhetoric.  This is exactly the reason McCain/Palin will be in the White House.

  17. Yes -anywhere but the Top of the Ticket is not enough..

  18. lol ha ha ha. no way, no how, no McCain

Obama and her made a deal, she will be in a high spot in his cabinet, you will learn soon

  19. Sure. I have nothing but respect for Hillary.

  20. maybe
