  1. Who is acting as if they were already the President now!? Does Republican hypocrisy know no boundaries?

  2. you stupid politics lie to you! Georgia aggressor, georgian solder shoot on people which not have gun.

    Russia save its people.

to Greg g: i think you understand me and its general!

  3. money...simple!

  4. Economic sancionts.

    Worsened relations

A poor global image in a time when such an image can effect the bottom line.  Russia has a frist world military with a third world economy.  They need the economic influx of foreign nations.  especially if the West is successful in their goal of energy independance.

  5. McCain please do you a favor, before make such statement, talk to your senior military staff and a senior econominist. first American economy is very struggle now , we can't afford any more major spending especially a major deflic bush has left us, and seconly even the highest ranking military official (chief of staff, said" we can't afford any more war like iran, due to not enought troop to manage, unless a draft" but you are talking about a Russia who has tons of nuclear arsenal, you don't wanna mess with them now, especially their leader ain't no longer U.S. pet.

  6. mccain is the worst! everyone who agrees with me should go vote him down on this page.. you'll get a free gift card if you do!

  7. Shut up towel head and go learn English.

Is that you EVGENIY P? If so, your english improved remarkably!

  8. Economic sanctions likely - good move by McCain!

  9. Jeff M..First world military?..LOL..

Their equipment is old and falling apart..Their Navy is pretty much useless..Their Air force still flies turbo prop aircraft as bombers..Their jet aircraft are 20+ years old..Their tanks are just as delapadated..

The only thing Russia has going for it militarily is numbers..

  10. I am going to assume that the "With what?" is the question and further assume that you are alluding to the fact that militarily the USA is spread pretty thin with our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and our committed forces to Europe, Korea, Japan, and elsewhere in the world.

Realize that when the USA says "Severe Consequences" the first steps are usually pulling political envoys, ambassadors and embassy personnel home, then barring trade with the country and going before the United Nations to seek international sanctions and condemnation.  Military action is a last resort after diplomatic and economic actions have failed.  Since President Bush had already spoken out against the actions of Russia, no McCain wasn't speaking out of line or above his authority.  Hopefully, Barrack Obama will openly condemn the actions of the Russian government so that they know that no matter who wins the USA election, they will feel pressure from the USA if they continue along this path.
