Question:

McCann Question (PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO!!?

Now it seems to have settled down a bit and Kate and Gerry are not going to be charged with anything

Even though they admit Maddy begging them not to leave the kids on there own, and for whatever reason they still did (just how did they "shut her up")

So who out of all of us thinks this should be "let go" and forgotten about

Or who wants to see justice done??

How can ANY loving parent after being begged not to go out, by their little child and ignore them and still do go out leaving the said child alone in a foreign country, and believing all the statements, knowing there was somebody lurking around

Innocent or Gulity????

if it was me, the gutter press would have ruined me by now

But to this day the Sun, Mirror, Star continue to suck up to the McScams

Why????????????????????

  1. I will never understand how the McCanns could neglect their children then try and justify their behaviour by claiming most of us did the same.  I will never understand how they could leave their children alone after Madeleine told them how upset she was.  I will never, ever understand why they immediately set up an appeal fund for money and immediately contacted a legal team and I will certainly never understand why the McCanns were not prosecuted for negligence, because I know d**n well, you or I would be in the same circumstances.

  2. Guardian Angel has provided the link that everyone wants to read. This is one Big British cover up, and hopefully some day those involved will come clean and admit what really happened to Madeleine, the 3rd of May, 2007.

  3. Justice will be served.  Their surviving twins (assuming they are not abandoned at some point) will grow up and see the truth of what their parents did that night.   They will be sickened.

  4. The Sun The Mirror and The Star continue to cover up for the McCanns because they are all owned by Rupert Murdoch and he controls what they publish.Murdoch is a New Labour supporter as is Clarence Mitchell.Gordon Brown is a close family friend of the McCanns. For more information read this

  5. Well said Red-Chrome.

    Justice for poor little Maddie.

  6. 1.  Everyone wants justice, but they don't agree on what that is.

    2.  Innocent until proven guilty.

    3.  This is a tough one, as the Sun, Mirror and Star may all have different reasons for sucking.

    4.  Yes, they do.

    5.  Yes.

  7. JUST LEAVE THE MCCANS ALONE.

  8. As far as the press go, this story has hit a dead end, there is no new information and no more mileage in it. No matter what your opinion on the McCanns the fact is they aren't being charged with anything, and no amount of ranting in the UK is going to persuade the Portuguese authorities to change their minds. The abduction was in Portugal and a matter for Portugal. If there was negligence, it was in Portugal and a matter for them. The Portuguese have made their decision.

  9. aw for god sake give it a break will you. we have been over this time and time again. who cares anymore.  i just feel sorry for the girl, and pray she is safe. nothing else matters

  10. I think it is fair question, Paul.

Outside and standing on top of the Old Bailey Criminal Courts in London there is a statue holding a scales (the famous Scales of Justice).

She is the symbol of Justice all over the world, including Portugal

    She is BLIND FOLDED.

I am sure I don't need to explain what the blindfold signifies.

    ------------

I think they are guilty, yes.   -Not of murder but of wilfully neglect resulting in the disappearance and reasonable presumption of death of their daughter.

They have escaped the claws of the Law of Portugal.  They should be tried in Portugal for that crime and face the punishment imposed by the country where the crime was committed --Portugal.

The Portuguese Police did everything in their power to do Justice to Madeleine.  Whatever may be debated about the McCanns one thing is undeniably true --> They cannot escape their guilt in their criminal negligent act(s) resulting in her daughter's disappearance /death.

It does not matter,  it is irrelevant,  if some of us "have done something similar one time or another ourselves" (I certainly haven't, ever, done anything to my kids remotely similar).  They were the ones who did it and their daughter is GONE !   --They failed in their (very onerous) duty of parental care.  Let's not forget that it was Margaret Thatcher who introduced or reinforced the notion of Parental Responsibility (and that does not only include financial responsibility) for your children.

I also don't think we have a right in future to request the extradiction of a criminal to England  from any other country in Europe after the McCann case when we have clearly helped two people escape Justice in Portugal.

    EDIT   EDIT   EDIT   EDIT

"Arthur B" - children are NOT born beggars.  They are born dependant on us, their parents.  Being dependent on another is directing one's needs to one or two people (the parents) and expect the provision of goods and of moral and other support from those parents.  There was nothing wrong in the kid feeling uncomfortable,  scared of being alone at night  in a strange place in a strange country hearing different and unfamiliar noises coming from the outside.  I remember going through that when I was a kid. Fear of being alone in the dark night after night, is very real !! So if the kid asked her parents  "  I'M SCARED OF BEING ALONE PLEASE DON'T..."  there was nothing wrong with it.

    EDIT   EDIT   EDIT   EDIT

"raichasa..." - you're absolutely correct... "innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law...."  OR until they have confessed it themselves...   of leaving their 3 babies alone night after night... unattended, unsupervised... when there were baby sitting services available,   available everynight.

I read somewhere that university students in Portugal earn some extra cash by being child minders in the holiday season.

  11. The McCanns are innocent of any involvement of their daughters disappearance and are not suspects.

Why have the tabloids been on the side of the McCanns, well because they know the PJs were sh*t and not doing their job properly.

Have I ever been left in a hotel room whilst my parents were out. Yes, numerous times. They felt I was safe in the room, in bed, they were only downstairs at the pool bar. I was not neglected or abused or drugged or battered by my parents.  I used have the most fantastic month long holidays in Spain as a kid. The best memories of my life.

My parents gave me everything and more than I needed. Would I leave my kid alone in a room? No I wouldn't but times are different now & Madeleine has really brought this home to us.

  12. I fine it amazing that you have made no mention of still looking for Maddie, surely that is the  most important item.

  13. it is so obvious that youre more concerned with bashing the parents than the welfare of the girl

if child welfare was your real concern youd be highlighting the many thousands of children who die every single day due to poverty

  14. What everyone above has said (except kipstofer). Very small-minded of you.

  15. It sickens me to think of the kids left alone

They have to live with the punishment till the day they die

    (The parents that is)

    Arthur B - You are a Grade A ********

  16. Lynn1855 [first answer]got it right on the nail. If you only want people to answer to support your heavily biased views, why bother asking the question.

  17. I think you're a little presumptuous and somewhat arrogant in asking people not to answer if they don't want to, and then going so far as to saying that people were warned no less! If you don't want to hear what people have to say, from both sides, then don't ask the question. That appears to be simple common sense to me.

  18. your "question" is just a bit biased so not worth an answer. try being a bit more reasonable.

  19. Believe me, if they had murdered or covered up a fatal accident, or if there was reasonable enough evidence to bring a prosecution, then this would have been done.

I am neither pro nor anti McCann, but I am pro justice, pro 'innocent until proven guilty'.  And we mustn't forget that every day children are murdered by their parents, and every day children are neglected.

If you want to do something useful, volunteer for Childline, then you will hear real stories of real children in distress.

  20. The Star shut up after the McCanns successfully sued them for libel.

You know that you are safe in your internet anonymity - and that makes you brave and outspoken.

    Little man.

  21. Hello Paul.

I wont forget Madeleine, and nor will scores of others.

Lets just say for now its all gone quite. The funds are down to 500,000

pounds. So I wouldn`t mind betting that any day Clarence will be out spinning his web.

That poor child left with her baby brother and sister. I think its disgusting.

I pray one day these people get their just desserts.

How heartless can these people be

  22. My diagnosis is that you are unhealthily obsessed with your own opinion. I prescribe a strong does of reality.

  23. because if they give them to much **** they would come across like heartless b******s and would have loads of people complaining the newspapers print what people want to hear most of the time anyway

  24. I don't really want to answer this question....

    So I won't, thanks.

    It's all rather boring now.

  25. Like a well worn tyre, there is just so much mileage that you can get out of it. Sometimes, you've just got to let go and move forward. Regardless of whether the McCanns remain culpable here, they have been through unprecedented media attention and rebuke, far more than I suspect the author of this question realises. The public interest is, I believe, satisfied.  The only black hole here is whether Maddy McCann is alive or dead and that will hang in the McCann's consciences for ever.  Pending a miraculous reuniting, this matter must be laid to rest.

  26. i hope that at some point in the future the truth of what these parents did to their children to keep them quiet so they could go out on the p*** does come out

i think they are guilty of more than leaving their babies uncared for ......i hope that justice catches up with them and their accomplices

  27. Please give the subject a rest.

edit: Take another look at 'Jude's' reply and do as she suggests!

  28. they are told to back them, papers are told who to support and who to give no support

somebody somewhere likes the macsammies for some strange reason ,  as they are  cold hearted selfish people who neglected their poor children

  29. the only thing i find amazing is that people still think kate's Innocent. of course her FRIENDS are going to say she was there, i don't think gerry had anything to do with it and i do believe Maddie is alive, i think that kate saw a easy way to get out of debt by selling the poor girl and selling her story and the Maddie fund, they were in debt.

furthermore, the lot of them should be charged with negligence as they all went out to drink etc while leaving there extremely young and vulnerable children alone. or do the thumbs down ppl believe that that is parenting at its best? i bet the lot of you who TD's me would happily go to another country and do this.

  30. I find it interesting how the media "tends" to pay more attention to stories about innocent white girls, but they don't pay enough attention to black girls or any other race that are just as innocent...
