McCanns: Its the McCanns day in the High Court... except they wont be there ?

We read with interest that serial child neglectors Kate and Gerry McCann's application for Leicestershire Police files on the missing Madeleine case, goes to the high court today. The two wannabe celebrity's have used the legal angle of their daughter being made ward of court in her absence to try to obtain documents from the UK Police which there is no way they would get off the Portuguese. presumably the McCanns want to see what evidence is held against them ? or is there another reason they could want this information, which is surely confidential, and was no doubt given to the Police by witnesses believing that it was confidential. If such Police file details are given to the McCanns, could this undermine peoples confidence in future cases that any information they give to the Police will be treated confidentially ?

Let me first say I agree with you .

The only trouble is each time I mention the McCanns I get a violation notice. Obviously someones back is being got up by what I write,

The question  got as far as me awarding the 10 points and then I had a violation notice.

Looks like the police have agreed to hand the files over without court jurisdiction.

However, this doesn't change the likelihood  that the McCanns are hoping to use the evidence to defend themselves if they were prosecuted for child neglect. As for the holiday, I've no doubt it will be paid for by one of their wealthy supporters if not from the fund.

How can you be so insensitive! This is a beautiful little girls life we are talking about here. Who set you up as judge & jury? If that was my little girl I would move heaven and earth to find her no matter what the cost. To call Kate and Jerry "wannabe celebs" is such an insult to a wonderful couple (who I would remind you are both Doctors) they have never sought publicity and I doubt very much they enjoy it. All they want to do is find their little girl. Shame on you!!!!

You raise an excellent point.

Of course the McCanns claim that they need this information so that they can pay their own private detectives, whose previous experience dealt with money laundering, to follow up leads that two professional police forces have dropped.

Indeed the portuguese police have stated officially  that it was impossible for Madeleine to have been abducted.

We are waiting to see exactly what charges can be levelled at the McCanns but it is a cause of great concern that they are able to buy influence on the media and pay for their high powered legal team out of a fund that the donating public thought was to help find Madeleine not fund the defence of these two vile wicked people.

The charade has gone on long enough.

The Mcanns taint everything and everyone they come into contact with.

They are proven as liars as has been their media spokesman Mitchel.

The actual truth of what happened may never come out but you can be certain that it is nasty, tatty ,depraved enough to have ended both their medical careers.

People should judge them on their lies and their dispicable actions.

There can be no defence of their disgraceful behaviour even if you were stupid and naieve enough to believe their ludicrous version of events.

I am ashamed of my fellow englishmen that the McCanns can still happily reside in UK without any consequences.

There are places on earth where they would have been lynched by an angry mob long ago.

Sometimes I wonder whose civilisation is more advanced.

They will have had  prior notice of this hearing.

Holidays can be postponed or cancelled.

It shows a lack of commitment if they don't appear in court to support their case.

This inaction will  possibly be taken into account when judgement is given.

I suppose it wouldn't enter your suspicious little mind, that they might be looking for clues to help them find their beloved lost child?  

And I must say that I would not be in the slightest bit concerned if information I gave about a missing child was passed on to their parents - the only reason for concern would be if I had something to do with that child's disappearance.

Seeing as the McCanns have dropped their hight court action there is no point in going to court as the Portuguese Police have agreed to hand over the files. I suggest that you get your facts right AGAIN
