McCanns: Kate & Gerry consider Crimewatch reconstruction ?

We read that now that the Police investigation into the disapearance of Madeleine has all but ended, and the 3 Arguido's are no more, the McCanns are now considering a Crimewatch style reconstruction of the dissapearance.

WHAT ? is this the same McCanns that months ago had previously refused to take part in such a reconstruction, only to relent to a 'may be' knowing full well trhat the rest of the 'Tapas 9' would refuse to take part ?

Why have Kate and Gerry SUDDENLY had a dramatic change of heart, and how will they get the rest of the reluctant 'Tapas gang' on board ?

It's interesting to see how one-sided it could show and see what they won't show us (ie the left the kids on their OWN and DIDN'T get soeone to look after the kids.

I think this should have been done about a year ago when she first went missing. I don't understand WHY they refused in the first place?

I think they believe she is still out there somewhere and alive.

Excellent, perhaps they can grace the rest of us as to how they came to the utterly ridiculous idea of leaving three babies under the age of three alone.  Can't wait.

In all our lifetimes we have slipped up doing things and regretted it and I feel sure the Parents of Maddie are in that position.None of us are perfect by any means... and none of you can say you are.This is a tragedy for the McCanns, and a bigger one for Maddie. The Portagul Police have been useless from the outset, and have never had one good idea from the start. They wasted time, in the beginning and that was their biggest bloomer. Our Police at least would have been on the case the very minute she was reported missing especially the involvement of a child.Valuable time was wasted and whoever was responsable for abducting her had all the time in the World to get her away.This has been one messed up investigation from the start, and my heartfelt wishes go out to Maddie wherever she is, and pray that she is safe , and also can come home soon. This terrible experience for a little child will be with her all her life, if she arrives home safe, and I am sure we all wish that for her.

we could watch  kate accidentally  putting on her make up on and earrings  in and gerry mistakenly having a shower and styling his hair while they whistle to the local pub to get drunk with their mates

not forgetting them getting their purse and wallet and car keys they dont want to leave anything valuable behind do they

No doubt this stage managed event will take place under the watch full eye of the one and only Clarence Michell. Just how this fiasco will be played out is beyond me and surely it should have been done when first requested. The whole idea is a farce, with the leading players being shown as holier than thou. Pathetic!

How exactly are they going to recreate the Warner setting?  The apartment, the tennis courts, the beach, the Tapas Bar, swimming pool etc? Surely it would have been much easier to go back to Portugal and do it in the real setting with the original people including the playgroup nannies, bar staff, other resort staff and holidaymakers.   The McCanns had refused to do it for the PJ while they were arguidos.  Now that their arguido status has been lifted does that mean they are returning to Portugal to do the reconstruction?

Can't see it somehow.  It's just another chance for the McCanns to put out the version of events they want us to believe, and the PJ won't be there to point out any discrepancies or blatant deliberate errors.   Will the Irish couple who saw Gerry carrying Madeleine towards the beach be asked to take part?  Or the egg man, the pig farmer etc?

With Clarence as director we'll all be getting dizzy with his propaganda and spin spin spin.

we all know what poor Maddie looks like, and that her thoughtless parents left her & her 2 siblings all alone in a unlocked room so they could go out drinking with their buddies.

Are they going to show in the reconstruction Kate & Gerry sitiing at the table laughing & enjoying their self while their poor daughter was taken from them,

And then show them a couple of days later jogging along the beach when they should of been out There LOOKING for the child, Not the actions of parents so heartbroken and totally destroyed in my views,

That really was not LEAVING ANY STONE UNTURNED was it

In case you had not realised IF there was a reconstruction it would be filmed in Britain by a completly unbiased film crew ie the BBC. The other reconstruction would have been filmed in Portugal and we all know just how biased the police are there.There decision was perfectly correct and I would have said the same as the McCanns

Don't be an ***  h**l, films about the wild west are made in Spain so why can't a reconstruction  be made in England. ?

In the past year the Portuguese Police could not comment pubicly on  the case because of their secrecy laws. Now they will not comment either because they no longer give a d**n!!  Why should they ?!  Their investigation was blocked left right and centre from day one ?!   It is no longer their case but Portugal still remains their country.

Judging by what is coming out in the press this week it would be a pointless exercise as they will only re-enact their version of events.

So it really wouldn't be a true reflection of what went on .

They would be better off releasing it around Xmas time for the panto season as that is what it would amount to :)
