McCanns: McFanns, McFriends and McHangers on line up to apologise to Robert Murat ?

Question

We read that there is at last some concellation at last for Robert Murat, the ongoing victim of the McCanns media friends, McFanns and wannabe McHangers on. No doubt its also time for a few McCurrent Events McFanns to apologise for some of the bile written about Mr Murat on here too ?

While the McCanns cravenly courted the media and still managed to get a multi thousand pound payout from some of it for merely suggesting they had some involvement in the diapearance of Madeleine, Robert Murat appaears to have committed no other crime than being unfortunate enough to live near the wrong holiday resort at the wrong time and offer to help, and been reported by friends of the McCanns.

In addition to the media having to pay murat for theircruel lible, should not some of those close to the McCanns who made public comments regarding Murat not be made to pay also ?

Concellation???

lol...for your kind information Robert Murat was always in the same bracket as the McCanns...official suspect...against whom there was no evidence.  So i don't see why anyone has to apologise to him, just as i can't see anyone apologising to Madeleine's parents.

I think the media were all too quick to blame Murat and the police were happy for him to be blamed. I am glad that he is being paid a large compensation, but I wonder whether it will ever truly be over for that poor man.

Not a chance pal.  The sort of people you mention in the first line of your question do not know the meaning of the word.  They will all be wondering how to turn this round to make the poor bug*er the worst serial child offender since the "Jersey Beast", and probably have a personal shot at you - due to lack of anything constructive to say.  If they can get the poor sod convicted,it lets those child neglecting parents off the hook.  Not one person involved in the missing Madeleine case knows how to say, "Sorry" or, "Whoops, I was WRONG!"

I think Michael W knows perfectly well that the McCanns are the main suspects. Robert Murat has assisted fully with the police investiagation, unlike the McCanns who fled Portugal as soon as possible when the finger was pointed at them!

Hi 17 Pdr.  I did not see you apologising to the McCanns when they won their liable case.I certainly do not intend to apologise to Robert Murat who is still main suspect in this case. His alibi has more holes in it than a sieve. He was seen near the crime scene His mother did cover up for him on that night and his girlfriend also lied to her whereabouts on that night. which is all probably why he still remains a suspect. I am not going to join a witch hunt against this man  as I still believe innocent until proved guilty, yes even for Robert Murat

Can't help but agree and as someone pointed out this guy co-operated with the police, where as the mud slingers from the Mcc's have dodged the issue with a variety of excuses. He does deserve every penny of compensation and I hope he uses some of it suing those responsible.

Apologies - I don't think so.   I thought the McCanns and their press chums were instrumental in pointing the finger at this guy in the first place, some tart off the "daily rag",  and the cops have been trying to find evidence to pin it on him, without sucess ever since.  What a bloody crew!

The Mc's don't have the ability to 'apologise' as they think they are above all reproach being such wonderful people and all.........! And seeing as it was them and their cronies who first sowed the seeds of doubt over Murat, it's the least they can do. But woe betide anyone who gets in the way of those conniving lot...

I just hope Murat can gain some kind of normality again but his life is never going to be the same again..... He has behaved with dignity throughout all and as cooperated fully with the Police.The Mc's on the other hand have been the opposite.. and have a lot to answer for. I wonder who the 'next' unfortunate 'suspect' will be in the non-existent 'abduction'...........
