The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 boss has insisted that the midfield ace’s failed move to the Premier League outfit has affected everyone’s performances, while insisting that he wants to see the old 23-year-old again.
FC Twente Enschede head coach, Steve McClaren, has revealed that the collapsed move of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leroy-Fer-c22126 to Everton in the January transfer window has not only affected his performances but has also had a negative impact on all the players.
The 23-year-old, who arrived at De Grolsch Veste in the summer of 2011after making over 100 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043, in the winter transfer market following his consistent performances
for the Tukkers.
It was reported that the English club has agreed terms with the club to acquire the services of the midfield maestro. However, a day before the winter transfer market slam shuts, the Premier League outfit revealed that due to several reasons, Fer’s deal
cannot materialise.
And McClaren has admitted that the collapsed deal has affected everyone in the dressing room.
“This has had a negative effect on him, and on everyone else in the dressing room as well, and also on me. He is still not the old Leroy”, the English trainer was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 boss went on to insist that he would love to see the 23-year-old with a changed attitude as it was before the collapsed move.
“I would like to once again see the old Leroy. With his loud voice and loud music, the Leroy who is a leader both on and off the pitch”, McClaren concluded.
FC Twente are currently occupying the fourth spot in the Eredivisie standings, four points behind the league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willem-II-c40945 Tilburg in their upcoming league game at De Grolsch Veste on Saturday, February 16.
McClaren would be hoping that Fer along with his teammates could find their rhythm, and claim all three points – a feat they have failed to achieve since the start of 2013 – in this encounter in front of their home crowd.
