McCulloch 35cc small engine modification

I took apart McCulloch 35cc chain saw to use the engine on pedal bicycle to have power assist power drive. Would like to know, how and if a belt or chain could take the place of the chainsaw chain behind the centrifugal clutch? Any and all ideas are welcome as well as links to sittes with info and or scematics.

  1. a long time ago before motor scooters became popular there were motorized bicycles and motor cycles ( Harleys and Indians etc)

As for the bicycles-- some of them were driven by leather belts or rubber fan belts.

But there was one model I remember that was completely different. It was a regular pedal type bicycle with chains and sprockets. But it had a motor located over the front wheel with a rubber  or metal round drum that was positioned over the treads of the front wheel. You started up this little motor and then you dropped the now rotating drum against the front tire treads and it pulled you forward.
