McDonald's Kid's meal?

If my boy is 14, almost 15, then is he legally allowed to order a mighty kid's meal, preferably a double cheeseburger, at McDonald's.

Anyone can order a kid's meal at McDonalds...quite frankly, I think anyone should be able to order a kids meal at any restaurant.  Maybe then it would help with portion control.

Most McDonalds franchisee's only sell kids meals to 12 and under as Kids meals offer the least profit due to the toy cost.  The thinking is an adult may come in with them obviously.

The legalities are that you are allowed to order anything off the menu.  Ofcourse, they can refuse to serve you any item at any time as they do state that they have the right to do so, they can also reserve the right to not serve you at all.  There are some legal issues relating to the licensing agreements for the toys which state that kids meals should be 12 and under, though this is a guideline which some franchisees enforce more strictly than others.  

Ultimately some of these licensing agreements are worth millions of pounds, and if the big bosses are making an issue of it, theyre hardly likely to risk losing those agreements to please a 14 year old boy.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but may shed some light onto the topic.  Burger King is better anyway. surely.

When there is a menu, anyone of any age has the right order what is there. Although kid's meals are aimed at kid under 12 with small bodies, if the kid's meal is part of the restaurant and the restaurant is for everyone so you whether you've just started to walk or if you are 100 years old, just go ahead and order what feel like.

Alway small children are the sought after demographic for kid's meal, there is no law from McDonald's in stopping grown ups from ordering kid's meal for themselves.

While the burger may be small, the serving amounts of the fries are small and how much coke is poured for small kids, IT IS COMMONSENSE THAT THEY THE SAME INGREDIENTS USED FOR FOOD & BEVERAGE THAT ADULTS WITH BIG BODIES EAT. The beef is the same, the potatoes are the same and the coke is the same

there is no age limit on kids meals at McDonald's.  I have even ordered them and ask them to put it in a bag instead of the kid box.

I'm an adult and order Kids meals. There's nothing illegal about it. If it's on the menu, you can order it.

anybody can. i am about to turn 29, and i order happy meals all the time. you can even get the happy meal with a large drink or coffee (but it costs a little more).
